The Roastery: Morning Movement Coffee

Visited the roasters in person last summer. Our family had a enjoyable experience. Bought 2 bags to support the local roaster. Fast forward 14 months i figured to switch up my online fresh bean experience and went on the website. Two coffee stood out, the Willie Wonka and the Strawberry. Ordered on the 15th, delivered on the 21st. One bag was roasted on the 5th and the other the 11th. I should of know better because nothing on the website stated fresh roast to order meaning the beans degassed for a while.
Specialty coffee is so finicky especially because the flavors are arguablely the most subjective. My partner and i couldnt detect anything remotely to the notes on the bag. One was listed light amd the other medium light. Both had to be brewed between 88-90celcius to avoid bitterness and i used a very maintained grinder.
I do love local roasters but i have to realize that coffee nowadays is certaintly not the same. Inflation has ruined alot and so much coffee nowadays dont deliver the quality they used to. Everyones struggling even the coffee industry. Another attempt to find a glorious bag of beans just to be let down again.

The coffee is delicious. Strong and rich, robust flavor. One of the best coffees I’ve had in a long time. Staff was friendly. Space clean.

We went here to get some coffee and my girlfriend ended up getting a hot chocolate. We were back within an hour and a half to get another hot chocolate for me!

All syrups are made in house I believe. No drip coffee.

Nice people, seems to be a get your coffee and go type of deal although there are some seats.

Jordan and Kailey (Sadie too!) Are awesome. They have created a wonderful place for their Vermont community to enjoy their coffee talents and snack on some other goodies too. In addition, the management team is caring, invested, and helpful. Our enjoyment was their priority. Now THAT is service.

This place is wonderful we come all the way from Niskayuna NY to visit and drink their coffee. I actually had a pumpkin latte and it was so delicious I came back the next day and drank 2 more.

Amazing coffee! You have to try the blackberry crumble espresso with tonic water and lemon zest. It’s spectacular. The whole coffee beans make delicious coffee for home. Owner and staff are super friendly too. Really enjoy the atmosphere here.

It was such a cute little shop and my kids love the hot chocolate so much!

We have only had the coffee here…it is the BEST around…everyone there takes great pride in their coffee…and it shows…highly reccommend!

Parking: Really tough to park…very limited space…but the coffee is totally worth the “hassle”!

We have followed The Nomadic Movement channel for years. I have purchased their beans before and loved the coffee! So a trip to The Roastery was on our list. We couldn’t believe our luck that Jordan and Kaylee as well as Trent and Allie were in house making coffee and greeting everyone! The coffee was genuinely the BEST coffee! I ordered a latte and my husband ordered a cappuccino. Both were delicious! I also purchased 3 bags of their coffee beans because of how good they truly are plus their dedication to their craft is unmatched! If you are ever in Stowe I cannot recommend The Roastery enough!
