I can’t believe anyone would give Stone Soup anything but 5 stars. The food, the staff, the ambiance are all perfect. It is not inexpensive, but it is absolutely worth it.

Four of us had a fabulous dinner here last night -- apparently as the only customers on a sleety night! I had a pan-fried duck breast cooked to perfection, generously proportioned and very moist and flavorful. Two of the others had Cornish Game Hens and one had a lamb tenderloin. We shared a Kentucky Bourbon Pecan Pie. All of us agreed it was one of the best meals we've had in some time. The restaurant itself is roomier than expected, nicely decorated and quite appealing. Even a good wine, beer and full bar service! Highly recommend it!

Though I've only eaten here once and it was a while ago, my husband and I had an excellent experience. Incredible food and service, an unusual and lovely environment. The chef was even kind enough to give us the recipe for a carrot zucchini soup that we'd loved. I would love to go back.

This place doesn't even have its name on the building but you can tell where it is by the cars parked out front! Delicious food, wonderful ambience, delightful server. Word of caution - no credit cards accepted (cash or personal check only).

A lot of people really like this place because they feel it's quintessential Vermont hospitality. However, the food quality is quite marginal and the prices are exorbitant.
