I checked the menu carefully because l have celiac. When I asked about the gluten free fries I was told they were gluten free until they were fried in oil with the breaded items. So they are not gluten free. What the ? So disappointed, we didn’t stay to eat. We also sat at the bar and were ignored for at least 5 minutes.

I really enjoyed this place. It is kind of hidden up in Swinton, but it is worth the drive. Had the clam chowder and shepherds pie. Loved them both. I would drive from Burlington to eat here again. We were able to sit without reservations, but we got there early and had to take a high table. You might want to make reservations.

Came for their new breakfast and was not disappointed. Ordered the chicken & waffles, breakfast burrito, and the green mountain special. Not pictured was the coffee and orange juice. Everything was delicious and the service was fantastic! I'm already looking forward to returning.

Absolutely enjoyed dining at Green Mountain Bistro when I was visiting Swanton Vermont
We had our Anniversary Dinner tonight. The owners made our evening so special. They are an excellent addition to Swanton great food and service. Thank you so much 💓

Was greeted as I walked in. Quick takeout menu and placed a blt sandwich with house salad order. Not a long wait. Order was correct. Nicely decorated interior. Bar area. Good location. Good amount of food for the money

I went when it first opened and I had good food. I went back yesterday and I was underwhelmed with the taste and service.
What’s the point of ordering a starter when they’re going to give you the main dish less than 10 minutes afterwards? Your main meal should not get cold because you’re trying to finish the starter.
The Penne a la Vodka was bland. The extra chicken came in large chunks as if the cook could be bothered to cut it evenly. To add to the experience, the cost was too much give the quality. Then you have to tip?
Do yourself a favor and either go to St Albans, Burlington or Montreal if you want a decent eating out experience. Alternatively, you make the same dish at home for a quarter of the price.

Aesthetically pleasing inside. The owner has a great, genuine vibe. Food is delicious - the peeps in the kitchen fosho know what they’re doing. We got takeout and drove 20 min home, quality was the same as if plated in our presence. Eat here!
