Whether you drop in for a bakery treat, place a cupcake/cake or cookie special order, grab a sandwich or just grab a cup of coffee with a friend you’ll enjoy everything they offer. Ordered two subs last week. They were awesome so we ordered again today. We got everything that we asked not to get and didn’t get what we asked for. We asked for the sub rolls to be toasted. They put the whole subs in toaster. I have a veggies and cheese sub with no pickles, olives or jalapeño . The cheese is now part of the roll and hot veggies and mayo. My husband asked for roast beef and bacon lettuce onion and banana peppers. He got two slices roast beef 3 thin slices of bacon no lettuce and no onion. So very disappointed. I called and was told “ you bring them back and we will put on them whatever we missed. Sorry I couldn’t hear you well.” I repeated everything 2-3 times to prevent this. I usually ask to have the order repeated back to me but I could tell the person on the other end was getting impatient with me. So I asked if she had everything and was assured she did. What would I recommend about Mother Hubbard I would recommend directly to them. I am not trying to be mean, but it’s so disappointing to pay good money for service like this. This was our treat for this week.

I regularly ship their cookies to friends and family outside of Vermont. The food here is THAT good. The teenagers who typically handle the counters are friendly and quick. The atmosphere is a country store featuring a small beer cave and some local products.
