Beautiful pies. The taste is rich and delicious. I had a peach and blueberry pie. I love the atmosphere and the area is beautiful..nice for a good drive before it snows. Reasonably priced also. No restrooms on site.

Amazing! That’s the one word to describe Poorhouse Pies! We have tried the savory pies and the sweet pies and they are all Fantastic! The chicken pot pie is our families favorite. Suzanne, the owner, has gone above and beyond to make sure we are satisfied. This is an incredible small business and would recommend them to ALL!

What can I say about this place that I'm sure baby already been stated? The pies are delicious, and are worth driving a distance for. Their quiches are great, the doughnuts are yummy, and it still operates on the honor system in terms of payment (don't screw this up). Welcome to Vermont!

Visiting from Wisconsin, our air bnb was right up the highway. Tried on Sunday 10/5 but the line was long already at 7 am. Bought some pies on Wednesday and man, worth it. The pumpkin cheesecake was delicious. Other family members we were with enjoyed the very berry crumble, maple bourbon pecan pie and a very nicely done apple pie. Can definitely understand how these pies sell out so quickly.
Best donuts ever! Seriously delicious!
Stopped by on our way home from Smuggs this past weekend. I am absolutely in love with these pies and may have to travel 5 hours just for them (unless shipping is offered, which I would absolutely pay for).
Picked up some breakfast hand pies, that were delicious and filling for the ride home (BEC & strawberry cream cheese). Crust was excellent and my husband and I both said, why aren't more foods served via hand pie?
When we got home we could not wait to try the maple cream pie, was a tough choice with key lime being our absolute fave, but it is incredible. Whip cream perfectly balances out the sweetness of the maple and the salty/sweet Graham cracker crust - I cannot stop eating it.
We are very excited to try the savory french onion pie and I have no doubt it will be just as good as everything we've tasted thus far. Bring a cooler, it is absolutely worth the stop. I'm only sad I couldn't grab more and some merch - this pie does fix everything!

Not worth the drive to underhill when I can go get my meat pie from my aunt for less money.

We were a drive by visit. The whole car voted to turn around and see what's inside. We got a key lime pie
for dinner dessert, and a quiche (sausage mushroom) for Sunday breakfast. Both were voted by the clan as stellar. We will be back. Hoped for a hand pie, but all sold out. I am guessing there is a reason for that. Well done small business!
