Such a very cool, local hotel and restaurant close to Sugarbush Resort! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, especially Pierre, our server! The burger and steak were cooked to perfection! I even fell in love with and purchased an autumn oil painting by local artist, Ellen Crotton. Elllen was sitting at the bar and wrote to me on the back of the painting. The painting spoke to me because i saw a drop-off where the light beyond looks so misty and mysterious. I feel like there are elves hiding in there somewhere ?

Food and drinks: The dinner was incredible and I wish I had a better word for it because incredible isn't even enough to describe how delicious it was. I wish I had taken photos but just from the way the dishes were beautifully plated to the smell made it impossible for us to wait to eat! We got the roasted rack of lamb with butternut squash puree and balsamic glaze. Absolute perfection, from the cook to the flavor and seasoning. On point! Also had the salmon dish with thyme and lemon burre blanc, simply out of this world. The sear on it and the cook, again, the flavoring, absolutely fantastic. (There were 2 of us but couldn't resist getting a third dish to share). We also had the bacon wrapped meatloaf with mashed potatoes, carrots and string beans. Flavor was absolutely amazing, mashed potatoes so deliciously creamy. It was all so heavenly. This dinner was worth every minute of our 4 hour drive and will be our regular stop every time we visit Vermont, which will now be all the time.

I was eyeing Hyde Away for months and finally got to dine here with a friend. Perfectly tucked away in the mountain and so inviting. I was surprised how big this place is. There are 4 different dining areas. Outdoor, the bar, a more upscale ambiance room and a dining area off bar area with separate rooms. The burger is outstanding and I was too hungry to have dining manners at the time. I got a side salad with the burger which was very ample size and delicious. Our waiter was fun and consistent. I asked for a special may drink that was made perfect by the bartender so thank you for that. You sat in a more low lighted area and it was so comforting and cozy. Great crowd but not crowded. Just a good feeling atmosphere all around. I love this place and can't wait to bring more friends and family here. This is also a great venue for events btw.

We stayed at the Hyde Away for one night of our road trip. It was such a quaint and welcoming place and the bed was super comfy. The restaurant food was great, and the server Pierre was fantastic. The on-site pond was adorable, the breakfast was a great continental breakfast, and the coffee was great. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.
