Such a cute little place in a really nice location. The staff are really friendly. Ive been in housekeeping for over 20 years and they did a great job with cleanliness. Even though we were above the bar, the noise wasnt bad. Hoping to go back again soon.
If you’re in the area, you must try this place. Very cozy atmosphere and lovely bartenders. And let me tell you the food was delicious.
Great food, rooms, bar and service. Love this place
Did not stay at the hotel but had one of the best dining experiences. Our server Pierre was the highlight due to his humor and excellent service. We did not stop laughing and had an amazing meal. Outside of our server the other staff members were so welcoming and fun. Will be back soon and highly recommend.
Didn’t stay the hotel -just went to the restaurant. The best experience ever. Food was excellent. Our server, Pierre, was so funny and made it a great experience. Highly recommend.
We had a three day visit to Sugarbush and overnighted in a different location. But we went to the Hyde Away every night for dinner.
Had breakfast here while staying at a different local lodge. The service was excellent and friendly. The breakfast was great and was genuinely cooked with love. The care put into our food was apparent with every bite. Everything was delicious! If you're looking for a nice, sit down, breakfast experience, I cannot recommend this hidden gem enough!
It's tough to rate a place when you were happy with pretty much everything except for one big issue. Overall it is a casual, quaint, very conveniently located inn with, on the whole, friendly and helpful staff and decent food at the restaurant. The bar is cozy. The issue that kind of spoiled things for us was our last night - a Sunday night - when one of the staff kept the party going in the bar with a small but very loud group of people, apparently because it was someone's birthday, with the music blasting till I finally went in at 2am and told them my kids were trying to sleep on the other side of the paper-thin wall. They did shut things down at that point but it wasn't fun being the wet blanket. If you stay here, I strongly recommended not staying in the rooms that abut the bar and restaurant (which are the dog friendly rooms, though). Also the shades don't keep the room dark from the parking lot lights which makes it even harder to sleep.
We have stayed at the Hyde Away Inn 4 times this year. It is a wonderful old landmark and updated. The stay includes breakfast which is fabulous. The staff is warm, welcoming and efficient. We have stayed here over 4 years and will continue to do so.
I’m staying here now in the Williams Suite and the music from the kitchen is atrocious. I saw that they warned people about a few other rooms but definitely not this one. I can hear the bass from the music with my noise cancelling headphones on, and it’s 11 pm at night.
I am disappointed with this inn otherwise. The first floor has a smell reminiscent of my elementary school cafeteria kitchen. If is not pleasant; I couldn’t imagine dining here. The check in process was odd. There is no actual check in desk and I had to call the phone number to get the manager to check me in. She seemed annoyed that I can an hour early, despite there being a welcome email saying that early check ins are possible and no requirement to call ahead unless you’re coming in after 11 pm.
The room is big and the bed is comfortable but it’s dim and the decor is drab. It looks like a reconverted attic. It’s clean but feels dusty. If you’re looking for a place that’s bright and smart, this is not it.
I’m willing to overlook the negatives except for the noise. The noise of rooms that have any proximity to the kitchen needs to be clearly communicated prior to booking, or better yet: turn off the music at 11 pm. At $220/night, I should at least be able to expect quiet at 11 pm without having to ask for it.

Restaurant review only: Good food, disappointing service. Waited 45 minutes for our dinner to be served and the waiter stops by our table and asks “if we wanted our check?” We immediately replied “How about serving our food?” Couple that with several unprofessional and inappropriate stories told by the waiter during our meal, ultimately interrupting our discussion to tell them. More importantly there were young children close by our table who heard these inappropriate and vulgar remarks. We finally received our food which was fortunately good - thankfully.
Pierre did a wonderful job and the food was delicious! Very cozy and home vibe.
Not to be dramatic but I would die for this place. Immaculate vibes.
We had a great night at the Hyde Away!! Skied Sugarbush Monday when we arrived then checked in, enjoyed a delicious dinner in the Tavern, great breakfast the next day and another great day of skiing before we returned home. Our servers were excellent at dinner and breakfast. Love this place!!
Food was great but Pierre (our waiter) truly made the experience. He was so personable, entertaining, and the service was excellent!
