We ordered more than one of the pulled pork mac&cheese. The dish was just warm. A cereal bowl of overcooked bowtie pasta with a dollop of cool cheese sauce topped with 3 small pieces of pork. We also ordered the cold hollow burger. The burger itself was decent but the bun was huge and dry. The baked beans were still hard and had a burnt taste. The maple cinnamon roll was so hard even heated that you had to saw it with the knife. We wasted $75 for a lunch that was nasty and not filling. Do not recommend.

It wasn't very busy for our Sunday breakfast. Counter service and food delivery to our table was timely and polite. Breakfast potatoes were undercooked and crunchy. The cheddar biscuit recommended by the cashier was just ok, it would have been better if the pats of butter weren't straight from the fridge. If that was 2 eggs, I'm a leprechaun. Bacon was excellent. Coffee was excellent.

Great spot for lunch on a warm summer day. Cashier was very helpful walking me though the menu and giving me her recommendations. Ended up settling on a sandwich meal with a side of Mac and cheese. Even though the sauce was poured on top it was more than enough once mixed in. The chicken pesto was great and I got a carbonated apple cider with that. Everything was amazing. Then you can go across the street to gear a creamy to finish off the meal. Great place to stop by. Can’t wait to be back to try more of the menu.

The biscuits here are absolutely delicious; crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with great flavor. My go-to order is the Morning Core with extra crispy bacon. The apple jelly they serve with it really stands out, adding a unique sweetness that complements the savory biscuit perfectly. I always try to sneak on a little extra when I can.

To drink, the non-alcoholic apple cider is a must. It’s refreshing, with just the right balance of sweetness, and pairs beautifully with the crumbly, buttery biscuits.

Their cider doughnuts are also worth mentioning—warm, fragrant, and a true Vermont staple. But if you really want a treat, the cinnamon and sugar–coated mini apple cider doughnuts take it up a notch. They’re lighter, perfectly spiced, and the sugar coating gives them an extra burst of flavor that makes them even better than the classic.

One item I wasn’t as fond of, however, was the cinnamon roll. I found it dry and too heavy on the bread, without enough of that sticky, gooey cinnamon swirl I look for. Personally, I prefer a softer, more indulgent cinnamon roll that balances the dough with the filling.

Overall, though, the Café at Cold Hollow delivers on flavor, comfort, and a cozy Vermont charm—especially if you stick with their biscuits, cider, and those irresistible mini doughnuts.

We came for breakfast. Well, it was near the end of it, but I never got the bacon I ordered. The coffee pots were empty.

I recently had an experience at the establishment that I believe warrants attention. The sandwich I ordered, although flavorful, was quite small and priced way to high. Additionally, I found it challenging to eat due to the fat in the small “Chicken breast”. The policy regarding substitutions for the bread was not accommodating.

After including the gratuity, I noticed that patrons are expected to clear their own tables and return used dishes, which may not align with typical dining standards. Overall, I felt that the pricing did not reflect the value of the meal provided, and I found the staff's demeanor to be less welcoming than expected. Thank you for considering this feedback.
