$20 for 2 chicken thighs, a thimble of slaw, few carrot sticks and a store bought roll. Emphasis on homemade pickles? Not great. Good beer though. Service was dull. One of those places that thinks it's special, therefore you should think that too. No.

I was looking forward to my first visit to Prohibition Pig.
I left disappointed and surprised. The restaurant is really nice inside and the wait staff was attentive. However the meal, which was a hamburger with blue cheese, and an order of baby back ribs were surprisingly small and sparse considering the price of $29. My 6 ribs came with a teeny tiny cup of coleslaw, maybe 2 bites worth, a small dinner roll and a few pickles. The ribs were dry and small. I would never order this again. My spouse got the burger and although it was more fairly priced, it was not that great of a burger. I think they should think about what is plated with the meals. It matters.

Been a while since I have visited the restaurant side. Stopped into restaurant side for quick bite on a Tuesday at like 6:30pm as the brewery side was closed for a private party.

The service was prompt, we didn't order any drinks and placed food order right away. Had two different burgers, the Pig Mac Burger and the Bougie Bleu Burger, along with some Duck Fat Fries.

The burgers are smash burgers, but relatively large, at about a quarter pound, plenty big without needing to double it up.

All the food came out really quick, less than 10 minutes, all tasted great.

From start to finish we somehow made it in and out in around 30 minutes!

Overall service was friendly.

The burgers are bit pricey as they don't come with fries, but are well executed, tasty, and as stated above bit larger than you'd expect for a smash patty. The duck fat fries were perfectly cooked.

I'd definitely return again when we have more time to enjoy some beers and other items on the menu.

Food was sooo overpriced and all around nasty. Bbq sauce is straight vinegar. Musics so loud you can’t hear who you’re with. Wouldn’t recommend this place, nor come back.

Really good food. We tried the brisket and ribs and it was great. Nice selection of beer from their brewery and other beers, wines, cocktails.

Plenty of parking lots around. Place get busy quick, so probably best to come right around opening.

Good food , burgers and fries . Hard to find places while out of state that are genuinely
good and worth the money - this is one of those places.

Great spot that is also pretty expensive.

Came off of Camel's Hump and was beat. Saw that Pro Pig was still open, so I drove back into Waterbury and stopped by. Free parking right next to it is a huge plus.

Justin took my order and was VERY friendly and outgoing. I tried the jalapeno margarita, the mussels escabeche, and the pork carnitas.

Jalapeno margarita is just a margarita with a tiny bit of kick. I'm not a spice lord... I still find Sriracha nice, but the spiciness of the margarita, even after being warned it had a bit of kick, was surprisingly bland in the heat department. Still a decent margarita. However, lots of ice... needs more margarita, especially when I'm paying $10 for it.

Mussels were GREAT. The combination of toast for crunch, celery for green/freshness, and the spicy mayo complemented the mussels fantastically. For $12, it is not budget-friendly at all. But it's almost worth the splurge. This was the best thing I had here.

Carnitas was a bit... on the blander side. I initially ate some of it to try to enjoy the flavors, but the pork had NOTHING to it and the rest, although it looked fresh, didn't add much. I went back to Justin and he let me try all four hot sauces (green - forgot what it was, the jerk, smoked red pepper, and pineapple habanero) and that helped a lot... but at that point, you're just enjoying the hot sauces though, right? (All the hot sauces are made in-house and are good and def have some heat.)

Atmosphere was good. I sat outside, but the inside of Pro Pig was warm and inviting, other than the fact that it was late and there was no one inside.

The place is visually appealing. They did a great job.

Recommended for a splurge, but keep in mind that it's expensive. I spent almost $50 for two small dishes of food and a drink.

We ordered two burgers to go (Boogie Bleu burger and the Pig Mac burger) and they were both EXCELLENT!!! If we lived here, this would probably be our favorite restaurant!

Portion size was exactly what we wanted. The “just a cheeseburger” had so much flavor it was NOT just a cheeseburger! And the meatloaf sandwich special was messy, mouth watering, and going to be missed when we can’t find it anywhere else. Cullan and the rest of the staff made us feel welcome and taken care of. (Even when we walked in at 4:00.01pm, the moment they opened). I’d rate them 10 stars if I could. Highly recommend.

“Absolutely amazing experience! The smoked pork here is on another level — perfectly tender, juicy, and packed with that deep smoky flavor that makes every bite unforgettable. You can tell it’s cooked with patience and skill, because the meat just melts in your mouth while keeping that rich, flavorful crust.

The sides complement the pork so well, and the presentation feels both rustic and refined. Everything on the plate works together to create a meal that’s hearty but also full of character.

Service was excellent — very attentive, friendly, and helpful with recommendations. They really make you feel welcome and ensure you enjoy the best of what they have to offer.

I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic smoked meat. Without a doubt, one of the best dining experiences I’ve had — I’ll definitely be coming back!”

The food here was really solid. The crushed cucumber salad was fresh and flavorful. The duck fat fries were a highlight, perfectly crisp. The brisket and wings were also very good. The only downside was the service. We waited a long time before anyone came to take our order, which was frustrating. Still, once the food arrived, it was worth the wait. Overall, a good spot with good food.

I come back time and time again because this is the best BBQ in Vermont if not New England. The brisket is so juicy and bbq sauce is to die for
