Great sauerKraut!. Pricey, but my sis says its a bar not a grocery store!
Great pizza in a warm and friendly atmosphere. We stopped here for lunch. My vegetarian pizza was wonderful. My husband enjoyed his pizza and Hill Farmstead beer. Quite relaxing.
$30 and 40 minutes wasted on a very burnt and chewy pizza. We got it to go and didn't notice when we picked it up.
The Green Mountain Special was an unexpected delight with apples and maple syrup on it. Unfortunately when we called a few ingredients were out (busy weekend I guess) but the pizzas we got were good, though a little sparse on the toppings for our large pepperoni and onion and mushroom!
Everyone comes to this little hole in the wall place for what is rumored to be the best pizza in the NEK. Don’t waste your time. The pizza is nice but nothing special and it takes forever between the time of ordering to the time you are able to eat. I mean it should be AMAZING if you are required to wait for an hour and forced to shop in the mini market because your kids are so hungry they are on the verge of a meltdown. Seriously overrated.
Parker Pie isn’t the easiest restaurant to find, given that it’s in the tiny rural community of West Glover, Vermont. And it’s hidden inside a small general store. Drive around to the parking lot and enter by the back door. Only a few tables. Had excellent Greek pizza with fresh spinach, juicy black olives and feta on a cheesy crust. Lots of pizzas to choose from. I was an enamored with the chicken wings, too much sauce. And make sure to order with blue cheese, not ranch dressing. It’s a great place to visit in a beautiful Vermont location not far off Interstate 91.
You never know what will be around the next corner when visiting the Northeast Kingdom of VT! This place is special, wish it were our neighborhood pizza shop! They know how to make pizza! The dough is great, we had a meat lovers and the pizza margarita and brother were excellent. The wings were also very tasty and the staff was pleasantly attentive. They are worth the drive, really a scenic ride from Lake Willoughby.
While on a trip to the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont to visit the Bread & Puppet Museum in Glover, we stopped at the Parker Pie Company for lunch. Wow! The pizza with mushrooms that we ordered was delicious. The crust was crispy and tasty with just the right amount of cheese and sauce. It was fresh from the oven and delivered to our outdoor table in the pleasant area behind the restaurant. The inside of Parker Pie looked nice, too, with several tables and a clean restroom. Highly recommended!
We stopped by for take-out a few times when things were pretty much shut down by Covid. At that time, the folks at Parker Pie suggested taking our pizza away half-cooked then finishing it at home, to serve it up crispy. This turned OK. But there is nothing better, now that Vermont is approaching 80% vaccinated, to come here to dine, inside or out as you prefer. How wonderfully normal! Maybe it's just me, but I thought the place had a new look: nicer stuff on the walls, slightly different table arrangements (to leave more space), and somehow neater and brighter looking with what seemed to be bigger or at least cleaner windows. Lots of sunshine came through them on the day we dined there. We noticed that there was also a new inner door, creating a kind of air lock, a great way to keep the previously-bothersome flies outside. The food and drink were great, as usual. The pizzas we ordered were still perfectly put together and still very tasty, especially our favorite, the Green Mountain Special with, among other things, apple, cheddar, and maple syrup. Try it. It's really delicious! If you appreciate good beer on tap, you're in the right place. There is quite a generous selection of well-known local/regional brews, including the farmstead variety that's popular in these parts. Bottom line: you just can't go wrong with good beer/ale and one of Parker's famous pies. Just to note: inside the restaurant, masks may still be required for you to enter, as they were when we visited. So be sure to bring one, even if you just use it to walk in and place an order. The outdoor seating is generously spaced and if you don't like the deck or find it too confining, there are picnic tables on a large grassy area, with wide spacing between them. It's pleasant to sit out there, except when the local farmers are running manure trucks through their fields, which was the case when we stopped by. So we opted for an inside table near the windows, with lots of sunshine coming in. It was very pleasant. Wherever you choose to sit, whatever you choose to order, you're pretty much guaranteed good food and a good time here at Parker Pie. Recommended.
And easy 5 stars, because what more could you ask for? Pizza that's really good NY-style pizza (and far better than it has any right to be), a great selection of Vermont craft beer and cider, and plenty of space to enjoy your pizza and drinks in a socially-distanced way. For both pizza, sides (fries, etc.) and drinks there were many gluten free options.

Very friendly place. Good beer selection and the pizza was excellent. Very crispy. A must place to stop for a good beer and good food.
We learned of Parker Pie years ago when we saw one of their menus at Hill Farmstead brewery. As a neighboring business (about 15 minutes away), Parker Pie has carried their beer for some time, which makes it a destination for beer lovers hungry after a visit to the brewery. There are few viable dining options in this rural area, so this small restaurant attached to a general store does a brisk business. A recent visit, sadly confirmed what my wife and I have felt is a steady decline in food quality. Our initial visit years ago was nice. Small but well curated tap list and decent pizza, if perhaps a bit pricey. Subsequent visits over the years have been inconsistent. Fewer toppings on pizzas. Sandwiches served with translucent tomatoes and limp lettuce. After our sandwich experience we nearly stopped patronizing this place altogether, but decided ultimately to stick to pizza if we returned. After our most recent experience, we are unlikely to return at all, and if we did it would be for a quick beer only. Drafts are still affordable at $6-$7 per pour, but a large specialty pizza can set you back $23.00. This would be ok if the pizza was great, but while an 18” pizza is big in size, ours had very little on it in the way of toppings. A large Buffalo chicken pizza had maybe 1/3 cup of diced celery, 1/8 cup of blue cheese and roughly 6 to 8 pieces of less than fresh, dark meat chicken. On a pizza this size these few ingredients made for a pretty lame looking dinner. We were not impressed. Service is friendly, but far from efficient. There was a lot of chit-chat with what I’ll assume were regulars, and little effort to process waiting diners with any sort of expedience. You order and pay at the counter here and several times during our visit there was nobody there to ring people up or refill beers. We weren’t in a hurry, but we couldn’t help but notice people waiting for assistance. Parker Pie is certainly not awful, but as others have posted, I don’t understand all the shining reviews. This place has become average at best, with potential for downright poor if the consistency issues are not addressed. I should point out that there is a small but decent selection of craft beer to take away from the general store. Should you decide to visit, be sure to have a look.
Great pizza and wings. Good selection of craft beers, very reasonable prices. Certainly not fancy but good food.
Well, charming in a hole in the wall kind of way. I love when rural areas still have the rural feel. Find a table even if dirty, order your food at the bar and wait. Solid comfort food.
