This is a gem for miles around. One of the top chefs in the area, preparing his food with love and amazing attention to details. Inventive offerings and wonderful hospitality. I love it when the chef/owner personally checks in with each dinner. 5 stars

My partner and I came here to celebrate my birthday and while our food had wonderful flavor and the service was good - waitstaff were attentive just the right amount and ut was great to meet the chef after the meal (he made his rounds ro every table which adds a few personal touch), the overall experience felt a bit lacking.I ordered the fish which came with corn chowder, potaoes, and bacon. My partner and I do not eat pork so I was very happy the chef was able to substitute asparagus instead of the bacon. My food was tasty, though for the price I felt the portion was small. My partner ordered the tagliatelle and found the portion adequate, but also felt the dish was overpriced for what it was.We do not drink alcohol, but there were bottles of sparkling water available so we had that, and they ran out of the dessert (creme brulee that night), so the bill for two people for simply two entrees and a sparkling water was steep. The space is very neutral, with some decor, not much. It felt as though the floor was slanted slightly, and I had a hard time getting comfortable. We sat along the wall where there is a long booth on one side and a chair on the other. Small pillows are available on the bench, but I found I kept sliding back and eventually switched to the chair which was not very comfortable wither, but better than the bench.Overall, I would recommend this restaurant, and would be willing to try it again, but think there could be some improvements to the interior space and that prices/portions could potentially be re-evaluated.

We were staying in nearby NH and found this spot on Happy Cow… called to see if they could accommodate a soy allergy as my son has one. They not only said yes, but the chef called me to confirm the severity of the allergy & discuss alternate options. Heads up that they do take reservations & were fully booked our first night in town. But thank goodness we got in Saturday. They had printed menus for us with our options, and we got one of everything. We had a Peach Gazpacho (SO good that I wanted to order another for dessert but they did custom make it for us), an Herb Salad (SO fresh), and two main entrees - a luscious tagliata with capers & mushrooms, and a creamy tomato risotto. We also enjoyed a glass of wine & their evening cocktail, a Smokey mezcal drink. All in all we couldn't have been happier; ambiance was comfy, service was wonderful, and the food was simple but exquisite (a word I rarely use, ha!) If you're nearby & plant based, please check them out!

We had a very good meal here. The space is very basic but comfortable, nice wine list though no cocktails. We had the unfortunate experience of sitting next to some VIPs, perhaps fellow chefs or reviewers. They were given a specials list we hadn’t heard about and somehow got multiple courses while we waited even though we arrived first. But I know restaurants do this, and the experience was otherwise good. We will definitely return. It is certainly one of the best restaurants in the area.

The food is exceptional. The lamb was so delious . The service was terrific. The one complaint would be that the space is very loud. I couldn't have a conversation with my family.

The hospitality and quality of food & drink that Chad and his family provide in this little bistro is outstanding! What a wonderful night!Featuring a robust and well priced wine list, a diverse menu (some classics alongside creative combinations if you're looking for something fresh), and house made desserts not to be missed, this is a lovely spot to spend a night out.Don't sleep on this gem!

We were finally able to try Midva! We’ve been wanting to for a while and we were not disappointed! Great staff. Amazing food! We’ll definitely be back!

We have eaten on 5 continents over a fifty year period. Our 3 most outstanding meals were in Paris (Le Cinq), Berlin, and Windsor, Vermont last night. While food has been phenomenal at many dining establishments, we are basing this statement on total experience. As Arlanda said, you come for the food, and what matters most is the total experience. Our expectations were high (all 5 star reviews (except one by a reviewer says who hadn’t eaten there), but we couldn’t have anticipated the warmth, generosity, and empathy generated by Arlanda, the hostess, Chad, the chef, and our waitress. And prices were less than what one would expected.Vidva, thank you so much for a night to remember forever!Best, Art
