From my interaction with Kim, calling to change our table to inside, to our waitress Teresa all the staff was amazing. Teresa remembered every little detail of all our special requests. Prompt service, but we didn't feel rushed at all. We all came from different locations to meet, and this was the perfect spot. Close to 91 for easy access and certainly a wonderful choice for our group.
We had a good time at Harpoon. Had an early dinner and enjoyed hanging out and talking. Food was great and service was excellent. We visit Harpoon regularly and we'll be back soon. Thanks.
Never disappointed with food, drink and service at Harpoon. Have been dining there for 35 years and the "go to" place to take friends and guests. Best dark beer ever!
We were a party of four. Two of us enjoyed the beer on tap. In our experience the offerings differ a bit from visit to visit. One of us is not a beer drinker and enjoyed an ice lemon/vodka drink, refreshing and not two sweet. Two turkey sandwiches had great flavor. One diner ordered the pork belly sandwich and thought that it was not very flavorful. The onion rings and french fries are excellent.
We usually love going to harpoon in Windsor. However, we went for a nice Mother's Day early dinner and were met with a really loud atmosphere. They were out of the one thing my husband wanted but he was able to find something else. I ordered a salad as a wrap. It came as a regular salad so I had to wait for that to be fixed. Then while eating it, I noticed something odd that I was chewing. A piec of plastic from the top of a bag was in my wrap. I was totally disgusted. Then we had to wait almost 20 minutes after we were done before the waitress even. It iced we were done.
Great place that my wife and I enjoy taking our ten year old twin boys to for an occasional dinner out.
The music was perfect for entertaining, but you could still hold a nice conversation. The food was perfect, and beer was great! Would totally recommend it for a date or family meal 😊
We rented a heating shed and looooved it. So did our dog. Played music, played cards food was amazing I got the Vermont salad and my girlfriend got the chicken tenders. I've always loved harpoon and I am never disappointed.
Our server was amazing. I'm sad to see. They stopped serving sausages and turned them into hotdogs. I understand for the kids crowd, but it would be nice to have something besides burgers and hotdogs. My salad had far too much dressing on it, but I'm sure it would be fine if I asked for dressing on the side.
The service was friendly, prompt, and unobtrusive. The ales were excellent! We had the hard cider and the Irish stout, opposites in many ways, but both were delicious. We loved the pretzel, onion rings, and fries. However, we were a little disappointed at the Vermonter sandwiches. The toasted white bread was dry and bland, and the filling was adequate but not generous.

Jonas wings was absolutely tasty and amazing! Weekend special French onion soup was fantastic and all of our family enjoyed every single meal!
Once again Harpoon comes through with a welcoming atmosphere, amazing music thanks to Jason Cann and his many guest musicians, and the fantastic Beverly who makes everyone smile. The servers are always patient with check splitting and chaos and hats off to them for that feat.
Came for a birthday dinner on a Saturday night with my wife and twin sons who are 10. First, I have to commend the hostess. We arrived for our reservation on time but a family that walked in to the restaurant in front of us didn't have a reservation. They were politely told that there was not any availability for the entire evening. The wife/mom was incredulous. She just would not accept the hostess at her word and kept asking for clarification. This went on an uncomfortable and, quite frankly, a rude amount of time. The hostess handled it very calmly and professionally. The meal was outstanding and the service was excellent. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the noise level and music. There was a rock and roll bingo game going on and the music and DJ were very loud. It wasn't a big issue for me and my wife but the kids had a hard time with it. But it was a Saturday night and people were having fun. Just could have reduced the volume to be less disruptive to those not playing bingo and trying to carry on conversations. The service was outstanding and the food and drinks were excellent. Just make a reservation and maybe be careful about bringing kids if they are sensitive to loud music.
Good food, rootbeer, and service
