There was paint peeling above the area in which we were dining. There were dirty napkins tucked into a photo hanging on the wall. The tables had an unsightly amount of food build up in between them and felt sticky on the surface. The freezers located to where any customer could easily access their contents; there was a bag of biscuits laying upon the chest freezer, which was peculiar. I had seen the cook access one of these freezers with gloves on, possible contamination? I don’t even want to know. We sat and waited for about an hour after ordering before we even started getting food to some of our dining party. Would I recommend? The only thing I recommend is for anyone driving through Aberdeen to steer clear of this diner. There were better option in sight on the drive out of town. Unless you like dining in an atmosphere comparable to that of a Goodwill due to all the clutter of random objects laying around (laptop, scooter, broken toys). If I could rate lower then 1 star, I would.I am contemplating contacting the health department. Please clean up your act.

My family and I stopped by this restaurant this past weekend and were slightly disturbed upon entry. Unfortunately, more-so the longer we stayed. To begin our visit, we were very put off by the filth of the restaurant. Each corner was ridden with either A)Piles of empty boxes/fast food bags B)Used toys as well as some computers/misc gadgets. The cherry on top of this filthy disaster was the paint chipping off the walls right near our food. Overall, just a general filthiness that had clearly acquired over a period of time. Unfortunately, the food is not the redeemable factor in this story. Majority of our party’s food lived in the freezer about 5 feet away from our table, that our “chef” frequently grabbed items from throughout our 1+ hour wait for our food. This chef, keep in mind was wearing crocs, sweatpants, and a baggy t-shirt (an outfit similar to the one I paint my house in). It seems the only positive part of this experience was the walk to the car. And the drive far, far away. Please remember, when you drive through Aberdeen there are far more options than “The Diner” (if we can even call it that).

We were traveling through and we were looking for a sit down restaurant that wasn't fast food. We were seated in a room seperate from the main dining area. The atmosphere looked questionable, but we were already there and just wanted to eat and be on our way. As we sat waiting the waitress asked, " Who ordered food that actually needs silverware?" Ok, strange question. A man came and delivered a box of groceries and sat them on a table next to us, (we were there about and hour and 40 min. food took an hour +) the box was delivered about 30 min. after we arrived, and was there when we left. It had produce and a package of bacon that we could see. In a corner was a pile of garbage, boxes and broken toys, wal mart sacks among other things. The cook (didn't know she was the cook until we paid the bill) walked out 40 minutes after we arrived to smoke. Fine, she deserves breaks, but in the middle of fulfilling an order? Also a zip loc bag of biscuits was laying on top of a chest freezer, and a loaf of bread was laying on a chair at another table. The longer we were there, the more we noticed, the grease build up on the table and chairs, general filth. My pancake tasted sour, and I don't want to know why! 0 out of 10, DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Very interesting little place, small seems to be a locals place but the food is simple yet fantastic. To be fair it could use a good deep clean but the food is very good, Grandmas omelette is amazing flavors.

Good old fashioned home made style cooking. Relax & enjoy while they prepare your favorite dish. It's not a fast food restaurant, But a great local restaurant & many locals eat here regularly. They do offer weekend specials at a very reasonable price. They are located at the NW corner of Swanson's grocery store.

My husband and I went in for brunch last weekend. We loved it! The food was delicious! I had previously read reviews before going in. And expected it to be a little on the slower side. But that wasn't our experience at all! Our food was extremely quick! It was hot, fresh and delicious! And the portion sizes were HUGE. The prices were awesome! I'd most definitely go back! The staff was so friendly! They went out of their way to make us feel welcome! This might just be our new weekend breakfast spot! It definitely gives you the "small town/family run" feeling. We loved it!

Waitress was alright but the cook was pathetically slow! The hash browns were cold. Just not a very nice experience overall.
