Wonderful place. Nice casual little place on the waters edge in Allyn, on 101 headed South from Belfair and not quite as far as Shelton. The Boat House is for shareing beverages, food, and mabe a little dancing if the live music is right? Seafood of course dominates the menu, no disappointments here. Prime rib on the weekends Or the basics, Burgers, sandwiches..salads. But, weekends are for spirited beverages, dark ales or regular, you'll likely find your blend or flavor. On this night toward the 7pm hour on Friday night, 3 guitar strumming Country tune hummin folks began tuning up. Sounded promising the 2 men and a gal were just some locals but sure wers good. The food and service is great! I just wish the kids menu had healthier options. It also is super hot in their since I don't think they have AC so if it is a hot day be prepared to be a little uncomfortable. The clam chowder is awesome!

I’ve now attempted to eat here on five separate occasions. The first dinner, I took home and thought it was slightly above average, especially for a small town restaurant that’s only open a couple days a week. Then, at a later date, I attempted to order food to go, but they had blocked all incoming to go orders. The first time it happened I thought it was just a really busy night, but then I quickly realized that’s just how they do business.
Then, on three separate other occasions, I tried ordering to go food on my commute home—each time they had an automated message, saying to go orders were not accepted for the evening.
I manage a restaurant and have for eight years now; I understand business being overwhelming, while also being understaffed. But being a small town restaurant, that’s only open a few days a week, I don’t understand the business sense of refusing to serve pick up orders

We have had the halibut fish and chips last Sunday (08/04) and wow. They were literally perfection. Panko style breading with big thick cuts of fish. Not the over battered oily mess a lot of places serve. This was a super dish truly. Fries are also amazing. 10/10 will be back for the fish and chips!

Have gotten some of the burgers and the mac here before, and it's not too spectacular. All you can taste on the burgers is whatever the focus of the one you got is (blue cheese, BBQ), the patty and cheese don't taste like much. The fries also taste and feel like store bought frozen fries. Maybe the seafood options are better, I personally don't eat seafood but others I came with that had those items reported similar quality. The service isn't too bad but can be slow even when it's quieter.
