They accommodated with letting us have a celebration of life for my dad who loved riding out to thier establishment on his motorcycle with his friends. They set it up with little extras and made us feel very welcome and checked on us regularly and let us stay as long as we wanted. Great and friendly staff and comfortable relaxing atmosphere. Thanks for everything Nicks Bar and Grill! You made our dad proud and our day together special! Highly recommend!

Only bad thing is they were only open until midnight, and there were between 15-20 people there.

A family friendly restaurant out in the country is always a good thing. The food is good and the price is decent. The servers were friendly, hard-working, and made sure we were happy with our orders.

Fantastic small town bar. Amboy is a logging town so expect gruff men, families, logger decor and clear evidence this place has been in the community for quite some time. Food is quite good, I've never had bad service (In fact I was recognized my second time in) and the back deck is an absolute treat in the summer.
Prepare yourself for high prices and some looks if you're queer. There's some nice pool tables if that's your deal.

Exactly what I expect from a small town bar. Great service, friendly staff. Limited burger menu but tasty. Would always stop in again! Thanks jeff!
Motorcycles and probably the best wings I’ve had in decades. No
The food was good and the staff were awesome

OMG!!! It had been soooo long!!! Nick's (we always called it Nick's Tavern back in the day) was - for better or for worse - the focal point of my social/exterior life forty-something years ago before, during, and after all the things that surrounded the eruption of St. Helens. I had not been back in the bar since my wife (who I first met in Nick''s so many years ago) and I moved away in 1987.
I really need to give a 5-star shoutout to the Nick's staff for the May 18 Forest Service get-together. The work of the Nick's staff on Sunday, May 18. 2025, was Just Simply Amazing....
...now, on to the review...
While I can't speak to the bar food quality between 1987( when I left the Amboy area) and now, nothing seems to have changed between the 80's (aka...back in the Good Ol' Days) and now. The burgers are excellent; my Chili Dog was delicious; the French fries for all the meals were exceptional; the Chili was Superb. Given the size of the crowd that descended on Nick's on a Sunday morning, the waitstaff on hand was simply incredible.
I hadn't been since before covid. It's still great! I keep hearing the urinal came from the Satiricon in Portland. Not sure on that 🤔.
Food is really pricey but great place
Great local place. I've been going there for 40+ years. Ride the motorcycle out a few times a year.
Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome in restaurant area until 9pm
Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible parking, restrooms and the whole place is one level, wood floor with room to get around.
