Bistro & Bar At the Majestic

The food here is not good. We found it extremely disappointing! The apple crumble was a conglomeration of syrupy granola with apple in there somewhere and topped with more sweetness. Or was not set but more like a bowl of individual items. The morning granola and yoghurt seemed to consist of broken oat cookies with the yoghurt. The French toast and bacon was good however.

The front desk was making calls to each room on speaker phone so loud you could hear it in the restaurant and bar area. The manager asked her to please pick up the phone to make them, but she continued. I went out and commented, and she stated she is just doing her job. Maybe a back office job for her, not the front desk. 😳

Breakfast menu looked good and affordable. Food was good. Service was poor. On the first day we ordered scrambled egg whites, on the next day it was not possible, the waitress said ‘we don’t have egg whites’….. Another couple in our group had to wait 45 minutes before they got their food. Unfortunate experience as the Inn is very nice and all other services were great.

We went for happy hour and got the truffle fries, Brussel sprouts, and fried calamari. The bistro was upscale and relaxing. Had good views of the street. Small but good selection of wine beer and cocktails. There is a beautiful lookout at the top. I would come here again for happy hour.

5th Street Bistro at the The Majestic Inn and Spa has been a favorite of mine for quite some time. Lauren and Caesha are top notch servers who value not only your business but your kindness. Check them out some time and enjoy the great food and atmosphere.

Excellent food and service. The atmosphere is slightly less than ideal (very hotel-like), but if you’re staying at the Inn, it’s the perfect place to have dinner or breakfast. We enjoyed both meals thoroughly!

Fantastic experience. The front desk has a lovely gentleman named Tim who was very kind and focused even with how busy they were. Jan and Liz are wonderful as well. Great experience.

Thank you Shelby and chef,A week ago Tuesday my friend Bob and I had the best breakfast that either of us had in decades. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. Everything about the service and food was positive. The Majestic is truely a hidden gem for Anacortes. Other restruants should visit your hotel to learn how to cook and serve great meals. Anacortes should be your destination just to visit the Majestic. Five stars is not a high eough rating. Heading back there next week. ?
