We stopped here on a recommendation and I'm glad we did. We popped in for lunch, and although apparently the clam chowder is superb, opted for the shrimp toast and duck toast dishes.\n\nBoth were excellent, and immaculately presented. One of the best lunches I've had in a while.\n\nService was fast, courteous and friendly. Fully recommended.

Good beer on tap selection and excellent service. Onion soup was different, bready and too much cheese. Fried squid was OK, ink based sauce helped but spicing overall was dull. Nice atmosphere and good beer makes up easily for food.

All that is good meets on your plate here. Always outstanding service from the welcoming staff. The fireplace will be on, it will be cozy but can get a bit noisy. This place is popular for good reasons. Make a reservation!

Dietary restrictions: Able to accommodate gluten free for many/most dishes. If you’re celiac just know the fries share the frier with scotch egg.
