Service was prompt and friendly. Food was good. Three distinct locations to eat: inside (family friendly), outside (covered and wind breaked), and bar side. Menu was focused and they seem to cover all the bases.

Super good BBQ food! I had the special cheesesteak sandwich, The cheese was sooooo good, sandwich was overall 8.9/10! plenty of unique options. I'll definitely be back for more. Great beers on tap as well!

Great food, awesome beer, fun atmosphere. We went on karaoke night and fully enjoyed watching people belt their hearts out. Our kids were not only welcome but encouraged to dance and have fun. It was really fun and we all left full and happy.

Was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant! I can't believe how many times I've driven by and never knew it existed! It was about half full on a dark, rainy Thursday night, which was a good sign. The service was efficient and friendly, and we felt welcomed. We ordered the brisket poutine and the the B.L.A.T. and had a beer and cider.When we ordered food we were told that they have you open a tab on the restaurant side and then walk over to the bar side where they are able to look up the tab, take our drink order, and then close the tab whenever you're ready. This was a smooth process.Poutine is a favorite of mine so I was very happy to see it on the menu. It was not the most authentic - the cheese wasn't really curds. BUT the gravy was the BEST I've ever had on poutine, the fries were crispy, and the brisket was smokey, tender and delicious - it was excellent! My husband's Bacon Lettuce Avocado Tomato on sourdough was crisp, fresh, and perfect - he said it was one of the best he's ever had.He had some sort of dark beer that he enjoyed and I had a honey pear cider that was delicious. Water was available for us to fill ourselves. The food was brought to us and was bussed when we were done.Overall it was a very enjoyable dinner and we will definitely return!

This was my first time here. I enjoyed the layout and atmosphere. I had the pulled pork sandwich, wasn't my favorite but it wasn't horrible. Drinks were good. Tartar sauce was really good though! Looking forward to going back and trying some other items from the menu.

I am actually surprised I haven't reviewed Bastion yet! I mean it's a brewery with a nice selection of barbecue, burgers and the usual selection of sides (fries, slaw, Mac-n-cheese). It is a bit Rustic, lots of wood along with a lot of large fermenting vats in the brewery section. This was our happy hour Tuesday destination. Tuesdays have a limited menu with smoked pork verde tacos as the special. Smoked pork verde. I didn't even need to see the menu after that! The tacos were great! I'd go back just for those! I tried their red which was also very good. There was no table ordering requiring you to go to the counter for food and drinks. They did however bring the food to our table and service for that was quick!

This place uses tap water with out removing the bleach chlorine from the water to make there BEER ? ,just ask for a glass of water and drink it, if. You can it full of bleach chlorine it's in the ? BEER.

Reviews are spot on. Very friendly staff. And dog friendly bar where the locals come and hang. I loved that they had a stage for live music although we weren't around long enough to experience it. Loved the background music playing and it wasnt overly loud so we could still chat over our lunch. Food was amazing. Will definitely be a repeat if we ever visit this area again.

Good food in nice bar outside Anacortes and deception pass state park. Table ordered brisket dip and Mac and cheese bowl. Wednesday nights are trivia nights and while it was the first one we attended there, it was a big letdown. The event was misleading by saying “trivia for all ages” and the questions were primarily obscure origin stories of band names. Would recommend going for food, not for trivia.

You have to order beer on one side and then n.a. drinks n food on the other, but can start a tab that works on both sides? I guess this would make sense if the beer side was no kids but they're allowed everywhere, so I don't understand. There is no table service. $30 for a flight,a pint, and a starry seemed steep. By the time I ordered beer on one side n decided on food, the line was 10 deep on the food side, so we just went somewhere else for food. I did try our friends' poutine with brisket. Not enough gravy for me, and the brisket tasted like leftover prime rib. Just dry, and no one wanted another bite.
