The waitress that sat us had major attitude and sassed me when she had poured sweet tea into my unsweetened tea. She did not like me saying otherwise, point in case: 1 star.
Dietary restrictions: Put sweetner in my unsweetened tea.

Clam chowder was delicious. Also got the halibut special which was great. Service was great. Only complaint is they wouldn’t let us do a to go order because it was after 6pm.

The bad really outweighed the good here.
Our server was nice but non existent.
Drinks took forever as well as the food. Never in my life have I had to send back a drink because of how awful it was. All the drinks but the bottled beer were left untouched. We even gave it a second shot at different cocktails, but we unfortunately had to send them back due to the inability to even take a sip. We let the waiter know and her excuse was, “yeah our bartender makes strong drinks.” These were more than just strong. Worse than rubbing alcohol. All of our steaks were blue rather than the requested medium rare. The appetizer and salads were honestly the only good part.
For how expensive it was for subpar food and drink I don’t think I’ll even consider a second chance.

3/2/2025: The two of us popped in for lunch and sat at the bar upstairs. Great service, great views. We ordered a couple of beers, grilled oysters, and TBLTA with clam chowder. Can't complain, it all tasted good.

I got the captains plate and it felt just like Ivar's - more on the fast food side than restaurant. Quite oily and unhealthy. I liked the clam chowder though.

Food was great. We ate in the bar,.. which was a bit noisy and service was a tiny bit slow but we enjoyed it just the same. We eat here every time we go to Anacortes.

Love the Guemes Channel view. Where the locals go. Lots of options for oysters. Great water/shipping lanes views from the upstairs bar. Very friendly service. Panko fish is very good. The sliders are great. Tiffany, Kelly, and Monica are awesome!!!!!

We arrived shortly after 6 pm without a reservation, and the place was quite full. The host told us the wait would be 30-45 minutes; we were seated about 10 minutes later.
We overheard wait staff talking with a diner about the restaurant closing in just one week because "the port wants their land back".
We were seated near the window on the lower floor. In spite of the weather being cool and blustery outside the room was warm and the view was exquisite.
The host said that the wait staff is quite busy and may be a while before they visit us. We received water in about 5 minutes.
Less than 10 minutes later we placed our order. Our food was delivered with minimal delay, and with great timing; and the food was amazing.
I am so glad we chose the Secret Cove for our anniversary dinner.
This restaurant and all of their staff are first class, and they gave their best in the face of the end, and the quality of the food was not affected by this reality, either.
Wheelchair accessibility: Entry level fully accessible with a ramp down to the second level of main seating area.

Keep it a secret.
Food was billed as fresh and hand made - it tasted factory processed less than average, cooked in old grease with too much salt and not enough flavor from herbs or spice. We thought a glass of wine would help but that was disappointing too. I believe the neighbors thought that also because they brought their own.
I love a local haunt, this was not it. Lacks pride in style, service, variety and cooking skills.
Prices posted on the internet are wrong expect to pay about 20% higher across the board.
Ordered appetizers, surf & turf, salads and clam chowder.
Location has potential but lacks imagination and pride.

Should have been much better, as expensive as it was. Nice view though.

The views are lovely, the staff are sweet, and the chef is very accommodating. The only reason it isn't five stars is that there are so many amazing restaurants in town, and this one is just good. But the view makes up for it. :-)
Parking: The back room is a great place to rent for events!
Kid-friendliness: They provide a colorable kids menu and crayons

While the food here is very good, the big attraction is the view of Guemes Channel and the Anacortes waterfront.
Three seating options are available: lower level, upper level, and patio. This time, we tried the upper level, because the hostess said that the view was better. I agree, but only partially. Upper-level tables are all on one level. Unless you have a window table, views are limited. In contrast, lower-level tables are placed on tiers, like a theater, so everyone has a view.
Another downside of the upper level is the television. The bartender/server is a golfer, so the television is tuned to golf shows, with the volume set to be heard anywhere on the upper level. Televised golf is equally exciting as televised bass fishing. Only passionate enthusiasts will find it interesting. We didn't.
As with our previous visit, the food was excellent, with good presentation. My wife and I shared a large Spinach Shrimp Salad and a 3-Piece Beer Battered Cod meal. Each cost $23.00
