The wait was very long for one basket of shrimp and fries. It's about a 30-minute wait, so just let that sink in. Bright side food was fresh and nice and crispy, but the biggest disappointment was lack of flavor. The shrimp and fries were okay, but most definitely Not worth the price! The tater sauce had the most flavor of the whole dish. The staff was sweet and nice. Just the food needs more flavor and overhyped.

Let’s face it. This place is a tourist trap! Over priced so so food. Actually my sandwich was virtually inedible and for the price, so not worth it!! This was my second attempt to like the Shrimp Shack and I have to say it was very unspectacular.

Stopped by for lunch. No waiting was bit chilly at noon on Valentines day. Food came quickly and was piping hot. Fish and fries were delish, however the Onion rings were a bit over cooked and not as tasty as usual. We ate here frequently when we dined on Whidbey. We will still probably eat here again due to convenient location right off the highway.

We visited in mid-February and ordered from the regular menu, trying the cod fish and chips, oyster burger, and blue crab burger—nearly $100 for a disappointing meal. Everything was excessively oily, soggy, and bland, despite dining in and eating immediately. The fries were decent, but the fish and chips lacked seasoning, and the batter was completely flavorless, making the seafood taste like nothing. To top it off, I felt nauseous after eating. A huge letdown, especially for the price.

Not worth the drive anymore. I have been here over five times and have never had bad food. The quality of food has went down drastically. The worst part of my dining experience was the customer service. The server was very rude. Never did she ask my party and I if we needed anything. She seemed to cater more to the people not of color. Won’t be back and will definitely share my experience with friends and family. Customer service is everything. Please retrain your workers.

We came in January so no fresh peel and eat shrimp until May. So we ordered off their regular menu... since we came all the way from Bellingham. We both got the cod fish and chips, the jumbo prawns, and clam chowder. For almost $100 this was terrible. Everything was so soggy... we did get it to go but ate it in the car as soon as we got it. The best part of the meal was the fries and lemon wedges. Such a bummer. So bummed because it was so expensive.

Seems that the fish and shrimp weren't seasoned and the batter wasn't either. It was the most bland seafood, with zero taste. It was like eating water, textured like seafood. I can't even explain what it's like to eat something with ZERO taste. My friend said the clam chowder was good... I'm sad I chose to not get that.

So bummed... I LOVED this place some years ago but today was a HUGE disappointment.
Ordered fish and chips and clam chowder. The prices are absolutely outrageous. Nearly $70 for 2 orders or each.
Bland and tasteless fish that was really soggy.
The chowder was very thick, bland and had chunks of dough in it. Better off calling it clam and dumplings 🙃 fries we're good though 👍

The default tip is 15% where you order , wait pick up and eat on the side of highway. Will stop going to places which charges an arm and leg and still ask for 20% tip

Ordered the sockeye salmon burger. At $20 and in Washington I was thinking we might get a filet of fish but it was a sad salmon burger patty, smaller than the ones you’d find at the freezer in Costco. Not fresh. Ordered a side of popcorn shrimp and you get 12 of them, heavily breaded, for $12. This place is misleading customers by advertising fresh food with high prices.

It's fried seafood, you name it they have it, lets get to it guys!

Alaskan Cod and Chips 4/5 everything about this dish is perfect, cooked perfectly where the cod is beautifully flaky and glistening the only star missing was for the lack of seasoning, I really dont know why you wouldn't season the batter or the fish (or either)
Colossal Shrimp 4/5 These bad boys are gigantic (just remember that if you prefer more batter to shrimp ratio go for the popcorn shrimp as they are bomb too!) same issue with seasoning however
Popcorn Shrimp Basket 5/5 perfect perfect perfect, because you dip these guys in whatever sauce you want I didn't feel like I missed the salt as much here so

I'd like to add that all their items come with a ton of fries and we ordered 4 items for 5 people but you can absolutely get 3 items for 5 people but uh bring a salt packet or two
