We had some wonderful friends invite us to dinner here. The food was beautiful and everyone enjoyed every bite. I'm a vegetarian and was able to find suitable items for every course and our waitress was very accommodating. Its a truly unassuming little place from the outside. I would have never guessed we had such a lovely restaurant right in Arlington.

My wife and I went here for our wedding anniversary since we’ve been wanting to try this place, and it was amazing! We made reservations beforehand and were seated quickly. The atmosphere was cozy and they had a great wine selection. We had the cheese and fruit board for an appetizer (along with the complimentary bread). My wife had the steak and I had the roasted duck. Both dishes were quite plentiful and cooked to perfection. We also had dessert (she had the chocolate cake and I had the lemon crème brûlée) which were both amazing. The restaurant itself was a great experience and the chef made certain to thank us and each customer as they left. We’ll definitely return again!

I had heard of this restaurant for several years. Although not too far from my home it was not really on my radar. My misfortune. Bistro San Martin is a small restaurant located in the old downtown area of Arlington. A pleasant sight on it's own. The restaurant features a just right menu of Northwest American, with a dash of European flair. I realize that description makes no sense, let me just say that the menu has a decent selection of dishes to fit every palate. This evening we tried a sweet potatoes soup, which had a unique and delicious flavor. We could taste all the ingredients, sweet potato, leeks, sweet corn and more. Fantastic. Pastry puff mushrooms with a tiny added sauce that was very very good. Halibut with an incredible risotto and sweet and sour salsa. Flat iron steak perfectly cooked and flavored. Delicious crab cakes. Too full for desert. Maybe next time. Our server was great. Very knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions. Decor is very nice. Prices reflect a fine dining experience. If you can, go now and go often.

We been going for a few years . Yesterday we celebrated our 10 year anniversary there and it was like every other time. Amazing as always. The steak and lobster I got was perfectly cooked. We don't eat duck often but my husband gets this one that cook with peach and cherries he loves it. The strawberry rhubarb prawns are a must every time and we like the affogato ice cream for dessert, but also got a second one that is not always available the apple galette...it was so worth it. Leftovers today were amazing.

Used to be our favorite restaurant but has gone downhill the past year (or two) We won't recommend or eat here anymore. Service is good but the quality of food is not what it used to be. It's also extremely warm inside and super loud.

Came here for our anniversary dinner and were slightly disappointed. Food is top notch but unfortunately the service was quite slow and inattentive during our visit, despite it not being super busy. Other patrons who appeared quite wealthy got more attention. The inside of the place could use a lot of updating as well. We were rained on by the A/C condensation at our table by the window. Is it enough to prevent a return visit, probably not, but this wasn't the amazing experience we expected after hearing such stellar reviews about this place.

Wow! Very disappointed. Took wife for her bday and was very excited cuz our friends told us about this place and was very disappointed in the food quality. Between our appetizers and main course, we waited about an hour. Ordered NY steak medium rare. Came medium and cold, charcoaled burnt ends and heavly salted. Wife ordered flat iron skirt steak and came out same, cold, burnt ends and heavly salted. Escargot appetizers didn't taste like anything except salt and oil...again, very disappointed
absolutely the best food! the chicken and steak and lobster are awesome! and love the wine flight! a hidden fancy restaurant and the staff are so nice!
