We do not get up to Whiskey Prime that often when they are open due to work schedules, and when we do it is a treat! This time it was for our 38th wedding anniversary and everything was amazing! They suggested this aged prime rib eye steak that was slightly smoked which I picked and my wife had their petite minion, both of which were cooked to perfection! Both were tender and so tasty! Oh also we shared the wedge salad, and it was so tasty!
The steak tasted very good but for a $72 ribeye there was a lot of gristle in both my wifes meal and mine. That was really the only downside to the evening. Sides were excellent and Dirk was absolutely the best. His timing and manner was perfect, he made it worthwhile. He was entertaining and is a natural. The drinks were quite good as well, great selection of bourbons.
We had another excellent experience at Whiskey Prime. It's a nice, clean, comfortable restaurant and the staff is professional and attentive. Their steak is great quality, large baked potatoes that we share between the two of us and skinny truffle fries are delicious. I love that they give you a candy at the end.
