This café is usually very good whenever we’ve visited throughout the year. Definitely worth stopping by for their coffee, ice creams, and a nice variety of grab-and-go dishes. There was one unusual day when the entire Paradise Visitor Center and nearby restaurants were out of water (toilets closed, and even this café couldn’t serve coffee). But aside from that rare instance, every other visit has been great. A solid spot to recharge when you’re in the area!
We got two grab and go wraps and drinks, along with a fritter. The wraps and drinks were fine - nothing you couldn’t find at a cafeteria - and the fritter was decent. The problem is that it cost more than $50! I guess that’s what you get from a monopoly in a remote-ish location.
If you skipped breakfast like we did in order to arrive early enough to find parking, head over to the Tatoosh Café and grab some basic breakfast items. They’ve got grab-and-go food you microwave yourself, but I went with a plain toasted bagel and cream cheese — and honestly, it was the best bagel I’ve ever had. Hunger and altitude, maybe.
