I was excited to see when they first moved in after Flame Burger closed. Burritos California and California Burrito are two different restaurants. Was hoping it was the same restaurant on Pacific Hwy in Des Moines, it’s not. The first time I ate there, the chicken was incredibly salty and it couldn’t eat the taco salad. Because the restaurant is so close to me, I’ve tried several items. It’s either really oily, dry and over cooked, salty or has a funny taste. I’ve given this place several chances. Won’t go back.

Today, 11/29, I went with my family to order takeout, I have visited this place about 4 times because there I find the tripe tacos that I like the most, the first time I ordered tripe and it was super golden that it seemed chicharrón and it's good for being the 1st time, the other visits I always order the same and I tell them please not so golden, just medium. And it's always the same. Today was the last straw, I told them many times that please don't brown and to my surprise it was the same as the other times... even my husband doesn't want to go there anymore but I'm the one who insists and tells him that this time It's going to be different! I paid more than 100 for us and our 3 children!! I don't recommend them at all, since they also take forever to deliver the order.

At 3.9 you guys are crazy this is best in Town fresh and affordable great flavor. The portions are plentiful. Can't miss best part is they are open 24 hrs to get your fix no matter what time of day
The 5 rolled tacos Supreme or the Carne Asada fries. Only place in Town where you can get Pezole abd Menudo any day of the week. Come get some! Trust me you may have to wait a little because its made fresh but worth the wait!

Tried this place for the first time last week and have gone back three times. The food is so good! Meat is seasoned spectacularly. I’ve tried the carne asada fries, carne asada quesadilla, and birria quesadilla (comes with consomé on the side). My husband loves their wet chicken burrito. Green salsa is nice and mild, red salsa has a good kick to it! Love this place so far, definitely recommend.

Stop by last night trying to order two bean and cheese burritos the person that was behind the microphone did not understand English. And charge me for the wrong item and gave me a regular burrito. I tried to go in the store was it closed. So I had to go back around into the line and to explain that the person has given me the wrong order and I did not order this burrito.

He just kind of looked at me dumbfounded and when I try to ask for my money back again, just looked at me dumbfounded so essentially they got 10 bucks for free out of me and I will be never going back.

The food was very tasty, I was a bit skeptical, since we walked in and the place was empty, but the price was right, I ordered two carnitas tacos which were larger than I expected, I would definitely go there again.

First thing I noticed was my California burrito had something in it that tasted slightly moldy.
Then I noticed a short black hair in the burrito. Like a beard hair, or short hair. Not even joking. I pulled it out.
Finally, just as an overall review, I had eaten a few bites (a little mold won't kill you, and I wanted to confirm with my tastebuds that I was actually tasting a mold taste), and honestly, it...wasn't great. It was pretty tastless. I wouldn't have ordered it again even without the mold or hair, because it just wasn't good. Not sure if this is because maybe ingredients were old.

I was super excited when this place opened near me. I eat at Memo's when I eat out because the 24 hr drive through, but have always wanted a closer place. Really disappointing experience because that burrito was like $11 something, and I can barely afford that, tbh. Who has money to eat out anymore.

Good food. Love the fries. Depending on who cooks will prepare the fries differently. Good otherwise. Good prices. Pile the fries on omfg

I ordered from doordash. I waited almost an hour for my food to arrive, even with that my food was still fresh and hot. I ordered the birra nachos. Love them. They were so good. Can't wait to order again. Also my partner order the chimichanga plate. It was huge. He could barely eat half of it but he was definitely satisfied

Sad & Hungry. Rotten pico in both burritos, & paid for sides. Chicken gamey/fishy. No refund replacement needed. Sadly won’t go back. No quality control, $40
