Favorite place in Auburn. Great food, great drinks! Great staff!
My wife and I have been going to Red Lotus Restaurant for 46 years. We have our anniversary dinner there every August 19th. Best food ever.
If you haven't tried their Peking Pork Belly you are missing out! They probably have the best Chinese food in this area. I've been frequenting the Red Lotus for about 40 years and although I've been to many different Chinese restaurants I always go back to Red Lotus. The waite staff is great, I'm especially happy to get Danielle, she's always been very nice and a great waitress.I'm not sure where any negative comments come from but give them a try, you'll be glad you did and don't forget to order the Pek8ng Pork Belly, yum!
I have to say this is some of the best Dine-In Chinese food around. I love eating here. They are always friendly, generous portions, and always will to make substitutions. Do to staffing issues they do close early so don't try to make it a late dinner night.
The hot and sour soup here is SO delicious, best I have ever had. My mother in law and I come regularly and are always met with great service and quality. The server we usually have during lunch, Tonya is phenomenal and incredibly kind and it is always a joy to see her! Excellent people and even better food!
We ordered 2 of the c dinners it was delicious they've changed the almond chicken since I was here last but still very good. Service was awesom
Danielle is a fabulous waitress. Wait for food wasn't long and as always it was super good. My 98 year old Mom LOVES the Sweet and Sour Chicken.
Hands down some of the best Chinese food in the region. One of the few that has Cantonese style crispy chow mein.Lovely atmosphere. They serve you free hot tea, and there's a lot of space. I've sadly never seen it crowded. But it deserves a lot more love than it seems to get.
Our family's been going to this restaurant for over 20 years and this is the first time we've been there and it was not impressive at all.I understand the shorthanded and that wasn't the problem the food was not anything like it used to be and our server was very discombobulated I'm not sure if they're paying competitive wages or what but I miss what it used to be seems like they make more business off the bar than they do the restaurant. My mom ordered a margarita very upset didn't even taste like margarita. I hope things improve for them I will come back again and try it again sometime see if things get better.
Got take out for our Valentines Day 2022, the food was not good, Chow mein looked like chicken noodle soup, my dog loved it. I did not even try to eat the eggroll after I cut it open... it was a battered and deep fried wedge of sour cabbage, not an eggroll at all. weird and gross.. wont be back. Safeway deli Chinese is better.

The food was really not very good. For a family dinner for 2, $50.00, they give only a small carton of fried rice, they used to give a larger container for multiple people. Disappointed this timeUse to be our go to Chinese diner.
Food was great. Waiter / prep cook was a delight to talk with.Waitresses ( king dark hair) was a bit unfriendly.
Did this place get new owners because the food didn't taste the same to me. Plus there were so many flies everywhere in the restaurant part that I can only imagine how many flies were in the kitchen. Sadly I will never go back there due to the uncleanliness and flies. They need the Better Business Bureau or FDA to go in there and do an inspection.
I am very disappointed in the quality of the food I picked up from here tonight. I have been eating here since I was a little girl . The food has always been delicious till today. I picked the food up just as they got done with my order. I live 5 min away. I got 4 Cantonese dinner and had to buy soup because you do not get soup if you take out the food but you do if you sit down to dine. The mustered and ketchup for the BBQ pork was mixed together in one box the almond chicken was not cooked all the way and the sauce in a separate box was gelatinous and gross. The chow main with soft noodles was greese with hardly any noodles. The sweet and sour pork was ok . The egg rolls good and so was the rice. I paid over $80. For a very disappointing meal. This makes me very sad to have my favorite place to eat come to this.
This was MOST NASTY, I do not even know what, I’ve ever tasted!!! The tea was good, the water was cold. As far as the food, OMG I wish we had read the other reviews first. I will NEVER WASTE money like that again. My mom and I did not even eat anything but the rice. That was all we could swallow without bringing it back up!I actually gave the waiter a nice tip cause it was not his fault the cook puts out food that is “I have no words” for.The experience- the soup was like jello, then came the sweet and sour pork. The meat was dark in color and each bit I tried could not be chewed. It was like tendon… maybe some other animal, who knows. The prawns we shrimp size. The chowmain, if that is what you call it stark white noodles. Specks and I mean specks of chicken. No white strips like you’d expect. This place needs to be reported. Do not waste your money. I hope I am saving someone else from this experience from the twilight zone.
