Washington National seems to always be in great condition. I enjoy that it's playable for all skill levels, and the challenges the course layout provides, whether bunkers or water or on the green.

We ordered takeout over the phone, it was quick and easy and the person helping us was friendly and helpful. Sandwiches were ready in ten minutes, carefully packed.
It was easy to find the location, no gates or barriers, just enter the pro shop and turn left, there are a few tables and a small bar. They are allowing eat-in with vaccine card and there was a group chatting at a table when I went in.
The menu is a little different from the one posted on the website, see my photo. Food was quality and well prepared. Great weekday lunch. The staff says in winter they close before dusk, so not a viable dinner option.

Beautiful, well maintained course. Round started out very slow but opened up after about 5. Greens are slow with very little break.
