There are two of these close by but this is the only one that offers fried shrimp (made to order) which my whole family loves. The fried chicken, tenders, and mashed potatoes are better than KFC and Popeyes (in my opinion). I'm not usually a biscuit person but theirs seem to be cooked longer as they are considerably darker and drier than those offered at Space Age which are soft and crumbly.Vegetarian options: Fries (may be fried in the same oil as meat items).Parking: Available in front of the store and shared with Little Caesars and a PC repair shop. It can get a little crowded but you can park around the curb that lines the lot of necessary.Kid-friendliness: This business is inside the Chevron.Wheelchair accessibility: Store is easily accessible and the aisles are wide enough for ADA access.

I see this fried chicken sold in mini-marts across North County. I dont think it tastes that good & the ranch dressing is awful.... Maybe im too picky~ but in my opinionated opinion id hafta say No. Im not too picky, the chicken is just icky. ;-)

Ordered about $13 of chicken and it went straight in the trash outside after I tried a few pieces.Chicken meat is very dark, tough, and full of tendons. I felt like all the bad cuts of the bird where fried just so they can make more money.

Just got gas (not from Chicken).I agree about few smiles as the lady mentioned, but their there, maybe say something funny. Derobing will just make'em freeze like a deer in headlights, so be innovating.

So my husband went here for the first time and he ordered Cajun chicken tenders and French fries. And well the Cajun chicken was not Cajun and the chicken was soo hard and dried out and the French fries which looked more like jojo's were so hard that you couldn't even bite into them. Waste of money worst meal. The food looked liked and tasted like it had been sitting under the warmer all day.

I know....I'm just as shocked by a five-star review of a restaurant attached to a major chain convenience store as most of you may be, but this place is seriously FANTASTIC. If you're not in the know, "Krispy Krunchy Chicken" is a Cajun chicken restaurant literally attached to (it's part of) a Circle K convenience store. It even has a drive-through window. After spending an entire day tearing out my kitchen and dining room floors and baseboards, I was VERY tired and didn't want to cook, so I looked for something nearby that was hopefully quick and cheap, and I recalled driving by this location recently. With very low expectations, I drove here. I was very appreciative to hear, "Welcome to Krispy Krunchy Chicken, what can I get started for you", and to discover that it was spoken by a real person (Britt - she is absolutely awesome) and not one of those prerecorded greetings to which one's response usually results in a ponderance of "Is this place even open" while waiting for a response. I responded that this was our first time visiting, and that I was perusing the menu. She very enthusiastically and happily said, "You have to get a sample first! You can't order until you know what you'll be getting, so come on up to the window to get a sample! You HAVE to get a sample first". She was SO friendly and excited, which I sincerely appreciated. When I arrived at the window, the same employee handed me a cardboard boat with two ENTIRE Cajun tenders, that were piping hot (this is as generous a sample as one could possibly hope for). As I and my son enjoyed our samples, she explained menu items, and a bit about the restaurant. Her enthusiasm and friendliness was off-the-charts high, seriously setting the benchmark for what defines amazing service. She said that I could call ahead for any order at all, and that they can also do large orders, and that everything you order when you call ahead would be prepared fresh on the spot. Her advice on how much to order based on my answers to her questions such as how many people I'm feeding, what kind of variety we wanted, etc. was outstanding. I cannot state enough how epically awesome Britt's service was. I've not received this kind of enthusiasm, professionalism, and expert guidance from many super high-dollar establishments. The service here alone is worth five stars. How's the food, though? In a word, it's great! The chicken tenders are super flavorful and juicy. The "fries" are potato wedges, and they're perfectly cooked and very flavorful. Even though the flavors are Cajun, they're NOT spicy at all. The chicken is far better than any of the other big chains. The sides are also a notch above their competition. Particularly noteworthy is the jambalaya...it has a far greater depth of flavor than one would expect. The prices are unbelievably low, especially if you opt for a family meal. The portion sizes are also gargantuan. I'm seriously blown away by how great Krispy Krunchy Chicken is. The service alone makes a visit worthwhile. The only very minor inconvenience is that getting into and out of this location can be challenging. It is at an intersection. with concrete medians that prevent access from two sides of the streets, and traffic backs up pretty heavily on the sides which can access the building. This can make for some heavy delays getting into and out of this location.
