The Hideaway Reviews
I love their food. My husband and I moved to the area in 2016. We kept driving by the place, but we were a bit leary. it looked like a rough place. But when we finally gave it a try, we were hooked. We'll come here twice a week sometimes. I haven't had a bad plate or service yet. I love their Shroom burger, Ruben, Chuck Wagon with french fries or tots (I use to hate Tots as a kid), Crispy Chick Salad for dinner or lunch. I am a French fries and Tots snob now. LoL. There was sand and rocks in our prawns, and the prawns tasted like they were caught in 1982, and smelled like it too. Immediately after eating them I wanted to go to the local hospital and get my stomach pumped, but I settled for Tums. The Brown Gravy sure was brown but only because it was literal dog barf. The only thing good there was the pickles, so we thought, but there was hair in them. They should give complimentary Pepto when you walk out of the door.
What a great staff! The food is also fantastic!!!!
Thank you so much for having such a great restaurant. Can’t believe I have driven by so many times and never made the stop. Keep it up y’all!

The Hideaway is a welcoming place with great food, fair prices, and a lively atmosphere. The staff is accommodating and friendly, living up to the motto of "There are no strangers here, just friends that have not met." The meatball sub special was incredible, with homemade ranch that stood out. The restaurant offers a variety of food options, including breakfast with huge chocolate chip pancakes and perfectly cooked eggs and bacon. The atmosphere is both bar and family friendly, with yummy tap beers and wonderful service. The Reuben and toasted roast beef sandwiches are destination-worthy, and the fish and chips and salads are really good as well, often served in generous portions. While most meals are excellent, there can be days when a dish, like a hamburger, might not be perfect, depending on the cook. The bartenders are very friendly, and the huge portions make it a must-stop spot for both travelers and locals. Many visitors have found the food to be delicious and the service consistent, making The Hideaway a great place to enjoy good times, tasty food, and friendly staff.
