Amazing experience, middle of January we felt like we step in to vacation in tulum, beautiful decor ( I am interiors designer) , great food, delicious drinks! great service Stephanie is the best ! . But so much potential if changing the quiet music for house electronics Spanish music to fully embrace Tulum vibes. Can wait to be back for dj night !!

We visited Cantina Monarca for a family celebration, and everything was wonderful from start to finish. The dishes were fresh and flavorful, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was perfect for a special night out. Highly recommend!

Finally got to come in last Saturday night after a long time of trying to make dinner plans here, and was greatly disappointed.
Firstly the space is much smaller than appears on social media, and real in life is ridiculously small, hot, and crowded. So, beware if that might not be your thing.
We were quickly squeezed into a wobbly table downstairs, where our server Ella was rude and had an indifferent attitude.
Anytime we asked her something she seemed irritated and like we were wasting her time.
We mostly came for drinks, mains, and some light appetizers as a we had already had plans earlier.
So we didn’t want to order too much, but after getting out our Mains order she snapped
“Are you sure, you don’t need guacamole?”
I felt like she was judging us for not racking up the bill with appetizers and over the top drinks, but my husband being the nice guy he is just went head and got it because he felt pressured to do so.
I don’t usually leave reviews but we had a marvelous experience at a different restaurant in Bellevue and this made me reflect on our sour experience this past weekend.
We ended up enjoying the food and the music, and we even left a tip despite the service, because those are the kind of people we are, but we definitely won’t be back.
I hope management invests in teaching servers how to talk to guests who are spending hundreds upon hundreds of dollars in food and drink.

Honestly, the place is very cute but...but definitely not worth the money. Why am I paying $11 for 1 birria taco lol. You can get 3 birria tacos at any Mexican restaurant for $11! I'm glad I got to experience the place though.

I recently dined at Cantina Monarca, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional, thanks to Maria. From the moment I walked in, she made me feel welcome with her warm smile and attentive service. She was knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations that perfectly suited my tastes.
Throughout the meal, Maria ensured everything was perfect—checking in at just the right moments without being intrusive. Her professionalism and friendly demeanor truly elevated the experience. It’s rare to find someone so dedicated to making guests feel valued, and Maria does it effortlessly.
If you’re visiting Cantina Monarca, I highly recommend asking for Maria—she’ll make sure you have an outstanding dining experience!

Came in later in the evening and happily got the same server i got when the place first opened so love the consistency! Maria was bubbly and great and told us about some of the things to get off the menu that both stayed the same and some newer items to try for our taco tuesday and as always shes on point theres nothing we disliked. Spicy pepinos were as great as we remembered as per her recommendation. Cant go wrong with either steak tacos or the new el rey and lingua. High energy restaurant and fun personable server! Wont sleep on this place next time we’ll be back for girls night and

This must be the worst Mexican restaurant we ever been to. Food was very tasteless, we ordered some enchiladas, tacos and quesadilla, chicken meat was undercooked, the rice that came with the meals was very spicy and only lukewarm. Portions were extremely small and the price was ridiculous. This establishment is very far from authentic Mexican cuisine. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Our server was very nice and did a great job.

I got so much fun with Jorge and Félix. They are the best. And of course they deserve 5 stars if they could more, we laughed too much and of course we will return soon.
What a cool restaurant. They provide a different experience overall compared to a typical outing. The food was amazing, especially the sea bass taco. Ended up ordering more food because it was very good. I was a bit concerned it would be another high end pricey restaurant that I would have left hungry and wondering why I didn't just make it myself at home, but it was not the case. They were one of a kind and provided unbeatable service. Well worth it at the end and highly recommend checking it out.

Alex was an amazing server - very friendly, offered suggestions, and checked in regularly. I also really appreciated that they went above and beyond to celebrate my husband's birthday (which I had mentioned when I made the reservation) - there was a card signed by staff members waiting at the table when we arrived and then Alex brought a special dessert at the end, even though we only had drinks and appetizers.

The only thing I didn't like is that they bring you refills of drinks without asking if you want another one and without telling you that each refill is charged. They refilled our drink 4 times, the last one we left it without trying it and at the last the bill was sky high.
