Usually adore Cantinetta, and the food and service was impeccable as always. But the music Nov 6 2025 was distractingly loud. And the techno beat clashed with the restaurant's rustic decor and Italian theme. Hopefully that was a one-off misstep. Am willing to try it again but if the problem persists I'll sadly have to remove Cantinetta from the rotation.

We love Cantinetta - The quality of the food, the reasonable wine list and the vibe are at a great level. My only Criticism would be the wait staff, they aren't very engaging, no drink or food recommendations, no excitement, no personal engagement with conversation, no checking if anything else is needed once food has arrived, it is the one aspect that needs attention.

It's an amazing experience to try this famous restaurant on Seattle Restaurant Week. I always heard of its delicious food and fantastic Italian vibes. All dishes tastes so good. I would definitely visit it again. The dining room is a little bit noisy, hard to talk to each other, but that's very italino.

My partner and I were greeted. Immediately we were met by unfriendly gaze by the manager in charge. Was told that there would be an hour and a half of wait for a table of two but instead we could be seated at the bar. 5 mins after we sat at the bar area, 2 tables opened. Then we realized we have been profiled by the service staff there because we weren’t dressed or “looked” a certain way to be welcomed there. Food was great but we will not be coming back again. This should not have happened in an area like Bellevue.

What happened to servers who maintain a connection with their clients to ensure they're having a good experience? Once our dinner was ordered, we didn't get follow up on whether we wanted another drink, our designated server did not deliver our meal and the person who brought it (bus person?) did not inquire as to our needs, and trying to make eye contact with our server was an exercise in frustration. I've been a server. I know the trick of not making eye contact. It doesn't make for a good customer experience. The food was perfectly cooked. The ambience delightful as ever. Make sure your staff understands they're the key connection to the overall experience.
Our reservation was for 7:00 PM, but our table wasn’t ready until 7:30..We ended up waiting at the bar and eventually eating there in the corner instead. Honestly, what’s the point of making a reservation if they can’t honor it?
It was supposed to be a special date night — we had a babysitter arranged and planned ahead — but the restaurant clearly overbooks, knowing that on a Saturday night in downtown Bellevue, you can’t just walk into another place last minute. Really disappointing management and poor respect for customers’ time. Don’t count on actually getting a table here even if you make a reservation.

Cantinetta has a buzz , interesting menu that is well prepared. Table service is good and the bartender makes a very good drink. It casn be very noisy!
