Nice old Bellevue location. Restaurant was cold due to door opening and closing constantly. Seating was cramped. Waitress could have cared less, like we were a bother. Most of the food was thoughtfully prepared, just way over salted. There was definitely quality under that thick layer of salt, just not enjoyable. The host was pleasant and friendly. For $400 we got 2 meals: salad, risotto, 5 ounce steak, 3 scallops. Pithy! If the chef could leave the salt alone and include better quality food, train quality waitresses, and create better spacing, this would be a gem.

Our experience was excellent. The service was exceptionally good. The lady who served us was knowledgeable and attentive. The food was so authentic and great. We are from Vancouver BC and visiting, for sure we will go back next time I am in Bellevue.

Expensive, super noisy. Server fully distracted with the Seahawks game and friends at the bar. If it wasn't for the table cleaner who went out of his way to make the experience pleasant i would have left. The ribeye had so many condiments on top.. horrible...

Cantinetta is the ultimate go-to spot when you are hoping for a meal that is not only amazing but also consistent.
Usually adore Cantinetta, and the food and service was impeccable as always. But the music Nov 6 2025 was distractingly loud. And the techno beat clashed with the restaurant's rustic decor and Italian theme. Hopefully that was a one-off misstep. Am willing to try it again but if the problem persists I'll sadly have to remove Cantinetta from the rotation.

We love Cantinetta - The quality of the food, the reasonable wine list and the vibe are at a great level. My only Criticism would be the wait staff, they aren't very engaging, no drink or food recommendations, no excitement, no personal engagement with conversation, no checking if anything else is needed once food has arrived, it is the one aspect that needs attention.

It's an amazing experience to try this famous restaurant on Seattle Restaurant Week. I always heard of its delicious food and fantastic Italian vibes. All dishes tastes so good. I would definitely visit it again. The dining room is a little bit noisy, hard to talk to each other, but that's very italino.

My partner and I were greeted. Immediately we were met by unfriendly gaze by the manager in charge. Was told that there would be an hour and a half of wait for a table of two but instead we could be seated at the bar. 5 mins after we sat at the bar area, 2 tables opened. Then we realized we have been profiled by the service staff there because we weren’t dressed or “looked” a certain way to be welcomed there. Food was great but we will not be coming back again. This should not have happened in an area like Bellevue.
