It’s a mall food court so you don’t come here for the atmosphere or ambiance. This is really good Indian food. It’s flavorful, well cooked, good portions and authentic. They are consistently good which is a key sign for a well run restaurant.

We had very good experience of catering orders form chakra.. but , the quality at dine in is not same for strange reason. The food quality in anything on the menu is bad and not comparable anywhere near catering. Portions are very low comparable to any restaurant in Seattle area. Appam and chicken fried rice is decent on trying multiple times. Everything else in the menu is below par.

Food is good but customer service is terrible, I placed an order through GrubHub because I had a promotion. I called ahead informing them that I cannot eat rice because I'm on a keto diet. I asked them to simply substitute the rice coming with the order with yogurt which is the same price on their menu and the cashier female clerk simply said no substitutions even though the price is exactly the same for rice and yogurt. It sounded like I was dealing with a robot with no humanity. I then asked to make the order dine in as the order wasn't packed yet and once again she said no, for no reason. She said it would have to be packed and once again I argued that how the hell does it matter if I'm the one who has to consume and eat the order. It's not like the order is being delivered. She was not interested in serving the needs of her customer. I'll end my review with one piece of advice for the owner, in this country if you don't have good customer service, you are doomed to fail.
EDIT @chakra owner: I understand you are not interested in showing empathy to customers with alternative dietary requirements. Fine I get it.
What doesn't make sense is why you couldn't make the order dine in. Don't gloss over my review and only address one half of it. And second, it would be inappropriate to shout which I didn't do. Raising your voice because you are concerned is normal.

This is one of our favorite restaurant in Bellevue. My husband and I come here often. Chakra offers authentic tamil food. Our favorites are vada, dosa, biriyani and coffee. I recommend Chakra for people who want to taste south Indian food.

The food is good but the service is horrible. The lady behind the counter is probably the rudest person I've come across in a while. Looks like she doesn't care to cater for the needs of her customer but just there to make money. This is unacceptable as a customer as I think I should be treated fairly. I would not recommend..

I tried the vegetarian entrée for the first time today, and I was pleasantly surprised—especially by the tofu! It was perfectly chewy and had such a satisfying texture. I really enjoyed it. I was hoping to order the Karahi dish I had before, but I couldn’t find it on the menu this time, which was a bit disappointing. Still, everything I’ve had here has been delicious. Looking forward to coming back again!

For anyone trying out Indian food and not like too much spiciness, the food is good. I grew up with incredible Indian food from India & Singapore, and find the food at Chakra good, but not as great as some I've had. The service is a bit slow, but customer service interaction is very good. Polite, helpful & patient. And they do have Chai. Prices are OK, but then food prices have gone a bit up since last year. The serving is pretty big, definitely enough for 2 kids.
The food stall is in Cross Road Mall, which mimics those Food Stalls that we have in Singapore. You go up, order the food (takeout or eat in or there & they'll give you the disc that'll lighted up when your food is ready).
You have options to sit near the food stall or any spots laid out within the corridor of the mall on that end. On Friday early evening, there is usually live music at the mall. So, could be more crowded than usual, but could be more fun.
