Ordered takeout. Overall: Uneven quality of food, really expensive for what is given. I would probably try elsewhere next time. Food: Samosa- It tasted as though the outside was covered in salt, and the inside was incredibly spicy, more so than any other place we have eaten at. 1/5 Rice- past the cooked stage, overcooked and entering into rice bursting open. 2/5 Palak Paneer- Spinach seemed good (there has definitely been places that tasted like microwaved frozen spinach) but there's this overall lack of flavor. 3/5 Navratan Korma- Decent, creamy flavor, includes mushrooms, really large or tiny minced cauliflower, paneer. More flavorful than the palak paneer. 4/5 General notes: - Main dishes have a small box of rice included. Price: $90 for 4 main dishes plus samosas (enough for 4 people)

Second time I ordered from here. Tonight I walked in to order. Everyone is always very friendly. The food has always been really good at the spice level I order at.

Food was tasty, less oily (compared to other Indian restaurants), served hot and great service. Drink menu had good choices too. Try any of the kabobs. Highly recommended and will come back

We got a butter chicken, lamb curry, butter naan, onion kulcha, kashmiri naan, chai tea, and mango lassi. The food was so good and although it didn't look like a lot of food, it easily fed 5 people with some leftover. 4 stars because service was kind of slow

Wow- this was Amazing ! Honestly just popped in here with friends (also indian) because it was the only indian place open on a Monday in bellevue - we were shocked at how good this was ! The butter chicken, coconut curry chicken (off menu), mushroom mutter, eggplant and garlic naan. Cannot suggest it enough ! Trust me I’m super picky about indian food

Food was amazing and service was also very courteous. There was enough food to last until the next day, I’d love to go and try some more of the menu.

Excellent Indian food. It's a small restaurant and the wait times can be long for the food. But it's more than worth it. Extremely friendly staff. Photo: Butter Chicken (left) and Mattar Paneer.

This place is a joke. Food is of poor taste . Wastage of time and money. Vegetarian Manchurian is terrible

Delicious Indian food with great service! My husband and I showed up here late one night for dinner. The food was fresh, tasty, and very well presented. Highly recommend their sev puri appetizer. My husband enjoyed his tandoori chicken and malai chicken dishes, and I really liked the saag paneer. Definitely coming back with the family one evening. Just a little heads up: we went on a weeknight so there was no wait, however we have tried to eat here before and the wait is usually very long as the restaurant does not have that much seating. So if you really want to try this place, avoid going on a weekend as that is when it’s most packed.

A good indian place with great taste . We tried dirty chai ( cocktail) in drink and it was so refreshing . Papdi chat was so delicious with pop of flavours in your mouth . In entree chicken tikka masala was good not great but did try kashmiri naan( at sweeter end but very delicious) , great experience and taste . Scope of improvement for service but it was good too .

Ah, what a lovely lunch we had today! Butter chicken, malai kofta and lacha parathas. Plus rice that comes with each entree. Lacha paratha: Okay this one wasn't quite "lacha-ey." It was more like a big tandoori roti with oil. Great exercise for the jaws (= very chewy)! Did not look anything like the pictures on their menu. The sauce base for the Malai Kofta and Butter Chicken was awesome! It's the same sauce for both dishes. Koftas were nice- not too hard, not too soft. Chicken was well cooked. Flavor: 5 stars. We requested them to make it spicy- err, wasn't as spicy as we would have liked. But it didn't matter, because it was delicious!! Overall: but for the lacha paratha, quite enjoyable, really.

I am so done with Indian Restaurants in USA. Chawla Indian Cuisine was the chosen one for a take away as we were getting back home after a 10 day road trip. Chicken Tikka Masala, Bhindi(okra) masala, Chilly Chicken, Chicken Biryani, 2 Garlic Man and 2 Kashmiri Nans we're ordered after a 35 mins wait time and for a total of $102 we headed home hoping for good food. The portions for the price paid were small and I am glad they were...because there was nothing worth eating in it. We noticed that the Chicken Tikka masala we ordered was actually Kadahi Chicken after we opened, lot of Bell peppers. The Kadahi Chicken lacked body and had too much of grease and had a strong sweet taste. The Bhindi masala had the same base as Kadahi Chicken with different vegetables and is also sweet. Chicken Biryani had a bunch of Raisins in them which made it taste SWEET... What is wrong with Indian cuisine in USA, does everything has to taste sweet ? The Nans we're too thick and doughy and unfortunately for us by the time we reached home soggy. I Ain't GOING BACK HERE EVEN IF THEY PAY ME TO EAT HERE. AVOIDABLE AT ALL COSTS.

Basically it's Indian for white people who live in Bellevue. We asked for dishes at the 2 and 3 star level (of 5) but there was literally no spiciness nor very much depth to the flavors. And if you're reading this and thinking, "well I am a white person, and I'm not even sure I like Indian food that much!?," well let me be clear-- this place isn't going to answer that question for you! I did like the mint lassi; that was different and creative. Parking in the back.

Had the tik tak chicken or whatever it's called and that sheet was bland as a mofo. Even after I doused that bish in the green and red water they have the gall to call sauce those flavors were about as strong as an anorexic kindergartener. Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone who dislikes spending lots of money to get nothing in return. However maybe I am just stupid or ordered the wrong things. Sincerely, The Prince of Fairbanks

I really liked this place! On Xmas night, we found ourselves in search for a restaurant for dinner. We came to Main thinking that Peony would be open (Chinese places are open right?!) but it wasn't. Dough zone seemed too crowded so when we walked up, we saw Chawla empty and open. Though it got pretty full by the time we left. We ordered: Garlic naan Chicken tandoori Chicken tikka masala. Wow I was pretty surprised. Did not expect it to be this tasty for some reason as most Indian places are all pretty decent. All tikka masala taste fairly good right? But it just tasted somewhat different. Freshness element was something I did not expect. Tandoori chicken had a really good flavor to it and not just your typical colored chicken. Naan was hot fresh and flaky. I am def coming back in the future. What a nice surprise find!
