This is a Sichuan restaurant that leans more toward larger, shareable dishes rather than small plates. Overall, the flavors are bold and satisfying if you order the right items.
Recommended: Century egg & eggplant with pounded chili (very fragrant), wasabi pork knuckle (surprisingly well balanced), spicy chicken (la zi ji), bullfrog, dry pot cauliflower, and the mixed stir-fry of liver and kidney. These dishes all have good seasoning and solid execution.
Not recommended: Anything from the sizzling iron plate menu. the texture and flavor don’t really work here.
Good choice for classic Sichuan comfort dishes, especially when dining with a group.

If you plan to go to this restaurant, you better go early, they will literally ask you to leave at 9:30pm no matter you’re done with your food or not.

I called on Thanksgiving night to order takeout and was told they don’t take phone orders. I specifically asked if I could come in person to place a takeout order, and they clearly said yes.

We drove there in heavy rain and arrived at 5:10 PM. The restaurant had exactly THREE tables seated — completely not busy. Yet as soon as we walked in, they suddenly said “no takeout tonight.”

Only after I reminded them of the phone call did they reluctantly agree… until we started ordering. Then they claimed takeout would take about TWO hours. With only three tables in the entire restaurant, this kind of excuse is simply infuriating.

I used to be a regular here, but ever since they changed the menu — maybe even changed owners — the attitude and food quality have gone downhill fast. And honestly, the way they treated us made it feel like they just didn’t want to bother with takeout. Maybe because takeout doesn’t come with tips?

Unprofessional, misleading, and disrespectful.

They stopped offering the birthday deal tonight. And we have to pay $70 extra surprisingly.
We will not go again , it is so disappointed on the birthday to get this surprise 👎( I told more than ten groups of my friends to use the birthday deal this year, maybe I should not). Now I have to update all my friend the promotion is ended.

We came in at 6. There was not much of a wait. Ample parking around the store and the parking lot

We ordered cumin lamb, chilli chicken, green beans in garlic and steamed rice

The chili chicken was great. Amazing Sichuan pepper dry rub and tossed in red chillis

The cumin lamb was a disappointment as it was too salty for our liking and we had to blend a lot of rice to make it edible. A few bites in and we couldn't do it anymore. So boxed it up

The green beans were amazing. Gently tossed in chilli oil, some garlic and crunchy to taste

Overall food plus tips was 70$

My order was confirmed on DoorDash. I waited for two hours and called the restaurant. They told me they don’t take any orders for delivery. They also told the dasher the meal was not ready instead of saying there was no order. Terrible experience.

Went to Dan Gui for dinner with a friend and it was alright, Issaquah definitely needed a Chinese restaurant!
We ordered Scallion pancakes and Cumin lamb with Sake. I was surprised to see Scallion omelet instead of pancake, nevertheless, it tasted ok. Cumin Lamb was so good, definitely ask for 4 stars, it wasn't that spicy.

Perfect lunch combo for me. At first I thought the flavors were too much so next time I asked to go easy on salt and oil. It's now perfect.

This was one of my favorite places, but a recent experience turned it into a restaurant I’ll never go to again! Last time, I had chicken soup which was obviously leftovers, with some water and MSG added. Who knows when this soup was actually made. After that, I was sick for over a week! I dare not go there anymore!

Awful awful restaurant. Service was okayish. Food was inedible. Everything we ordered was way too salty and way too greasy. I also question the quality of the ingredients, as I had a stomach ache for two days after eating here.
