HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
The service was absolutely atrocious, and because of that, the food didn’t even matter—I won’t bother commenting on it.
We recently went to Dim Sum Factory for a family gathering. We called ahead and made a reservation for a large party of 13 people and specifically asked for an appropriately sized table. The host confirmed this was fine. On the day of the reservation, my mother even went in early to reconfirm, and once again, the host confirmed our table was ready and accounted for.
When our reservation time came, the table we were promised was gone. We were stunned. When we asked why, the host casually told us that the OWNER’S FRIENDS showed up, so they gave our reserved table to them instead. Completely unacceptable. We were then shoved into a cramped setup with a small table and another table awkwardly pushed against it. For a party of 13? Ridiculous.
And somehow, it got worse. Because of this makeshift table situation, we scanned the QR code closest to us to place our order. Instead of calmly correcting us, a server started YELLING—actually screaming—at us in front of the entire restaurant. Everyone could hear it. This behavior was aggressive, unprofessional, and embarrassing. There is absolutely no excuse for staff to treat paying customers this way.
At that point, the experience was beyond ruined. The only reason a tip was given at all was out of obligation, despite multiple additional issues throughout the meal. Frankly, the staff needs serious retraining, and management needs to learn how to respect reservations and customers instead of prioritizing personal friends.
If possible, I would like to be contacted by the owner, because this was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. Until major changes are made, I would strongly advise others to spend their money elsewhere.

We’ve been coming here for 12 years. The food is always good and fresh. The service at times can take awhile but that’s if they’re short staffed. Even then you can see the employees are trying their best and you still get tea, water and your meal. They even remember my kids and notice how they’ve grown between visits. Love this restaurant, their food and the staff!

The overall experience was great. The food was awesome. We ordered five selections to share amongst two people. We still had a little left over to take home.

On Christmas Day, when most kitchens retreat into routine or closure, The Dim Sum Factory in Factoria cooked with uncommon grace.
This was dim sum with intention. The wrappers—silken, elastic, alive—clung delicately to fillings that were confident without being loud. Shrimp dumplings snapped sweet and clean; pork was seasoned with restraint and depth, the kind that comes from patience rather than excess. Even the classics felt newly attentive, as though each basket had been tasted twice before leaving the steamer.
What impressed most was the balance: richness held in check, texture given equal billing with flavor, warmth without heaviness. On a day built around abundance, the meal felt generous yet composed.
There is a quiet pride in this kitchen—no theatrics, no shortcuts—just craft, consistency, and care. For Christmas lunch, it was not merely satisfying; it was comforting in the best, most skillful way.

Food was good but we only had received half of our order. Had to ask for our drinks because we were never served any when ordering. None of the wait staff ever approached to check on our table meanwhile they were very attentive to other guests. Mind you, our table was just a party of 3. I would see them tend to other small parties much quicker and more frequently when they would almost never approach to check on us. Toward the end we had to ask for our missing orders, and they finally brought them over and the food was cold by then. I wish I had a better experience here, because the food looked promising but I don’t think I’ll be coming back here sadly. I was very underwhelmed with the service here, I feel like it can be greatly improved. Happy holidays 👍🏻

We didn’t have dim sum but as far as entrees, this is some of the best Cantonese food in Seattle. Reminds me of the best old school restaurants in Chinatown 20 years ago. The Chow Fun is a real standout. The noodles were nice and chewy with that slightly charred “wok hei” taste so few places here are able to produce. Overall, they have a few really great vegetarian dishes.

I don't understand why the waiters kept rushing us to order. After 5 minutes being seated, we were asked to order for FOUR times. Yes, it was four times. Unbelievable. And one of the waiters even asked me to let him look at my phone to see what I had added when I ordered. This is UNACCEPTABLE, UNPROFESSIONAL and VIOLATION of my privacy. I will never visit this place AGIAN. I don't want to be rushed for no reasons.

The food was really good and the service was excellent. Our waiter let us know that we ordered too much food beforehand and also was all around very friendly. The portions are huge which I guess is why the prices look high.

Don’t order dumplings here. Ours came overcooked and soggy. I wasn’t even able to pick it up without spilling everything inside. It was sticky overcooked soggy mess.

Portion and Price, NO GOOD. Expensive and portions are small. Food is not good. Too bland and watery. This is NOT authentic Chinese food, it’s replica of what Chinese food taste like and It’s overrated. Portion keeps getting smaller and price gets higher. No good, waste of time. Dirty and sticky restaurant
To be honest, at first everything seemed okay. But after we finished eating, we found an earwig in one of the steamers. The waiter refunded that particular item, but I expected a full refund. We probably ate some bugs along with our food 😅. Definitely won’t be coming back!

I’ll be honest, I was hesitant to try this place from the negative reviews I was reading on both Google and yelp but I’m so glad I didn’t let those deter me. My partner had come to try this place a few months ago and spoke highly of it. I trust his taste so I reluctantly agreed to try. Boy was I proven wrong!
Firstly, we were given the warmest greeting from Kevin, our server. He remembered my partner from monthsss ago and even recalled him by name, even though my partner had only eaten here once! Next the food, everything came out HOT and soooo tasty! We got the house special chow fun, crispy eggplant with spicy garlic, wonton in spicy vinaigrette, and fish congee. Omygoodness I probably am going to sound like I’m exaggerating but the house special chow fun is probably the best chow fun I’ve tasted from Chinese restaurants in both LA and Seattle combined. The noodles were extra wide and the flavor was savory. I love that it came with char siu, chicken, shrimp, and fish balls! Second favorite was the crispy eggplant with spicy garlic! Rarely do I see crispy eggplant dishes at Chinese restaurants, this was truly a delight to munch on. We were frequently checked on by the other servers, a sweet lady and another young man but I unfortunately didn’t get their names, they were so nice! It is from my dining experience here that I’m going to make sure not to reject a place just from reviews alone.
