The environment is nice, the food tastes good and is served quickly.

We have been to this restaurant twice now. It's expensive for what it is and above all, we eat in such darkness that it's gloomy and soporific.

Served me straight up rare / blue steak when I ordered medium rare. When I commented on the cook the waitress gaslit me and asked if I wanted it medium.

We had our very first El Gaucho experience to celebrate my mom’s bday. One thing I hate about fine dining is the slow flow of the food. Of course, it took time for each food to come out, but I was more than satisfied because we felt like we were cared by them. Doug and James both took extreme care of our table and I knew gratuity is already being added but they did more than what they were supposed to do! Our bill came out to be around $830 for 6 people, we believe it was worth it! Atmosphere is nice, and they even gave free dessert for my mom!

Service was impeccable. The ambiance of our surroundings had this old-world elegance. And the food was delicious. We enjoyed our favorites, chateaubriand and cherries jubilee. Both were prepared for serving and then served at the table. Having gone thru rough medical issues this week so far, El Gaucho allowed us to slip away from worry for a wee bit of time.

This is the single best streak house in the Seattle area. Food and service are always close to perfection. Table side food oprions are a must.

Parking: Garage is free with validation.

Kid-friendliness: Just don't.

The food was 5 stars. The service was great. The atmosphere was relaxing. A great place to be if you want a drink after a day at the office, low light and relaxing experience.

I really love visiting this restaurant and I drive 40 miles to do so. Today was my 25th Anniversary so El Gaucho’s just made sense. I’ve ordered the shareable mashed potatoes almost every time I dine, with this time being no exception. This time the mashed potatoes had the consistency of baby food. I asked if they could be taken back and more brought out. The older gentlemen helping us (not our waiter) said he would check but if this was the current batch he likely wouldn’t be able to change it. That’s fine. I asked him to leave the potatoes until he checked. He comes back five minutes later and says “Well the chef is happy with them. Can I get you something else?” I chuckled inside thinking “really?” I declined to exchange but after attempting to eat them, I couldn’t and sent them back. Just not a fan of puréed potatoes but more annoyed by the comment of how pleased the “chef” was with what I was served. Funny. If the chef was paying “I” would be pleased too. Maybe next time remember the chef is preparing food for the public using a budget provided to him by the company he works for.
