Food is good, not great. Portion sizes are too small for what they charge for them. I used to like this place, but not so anymore

We’ve been to Farzi multiple times and we’ve always loved the food, which says a lot since their menu frequently changes! We’ve tried most of the Indian fusion places in the greater Seattle area and this is the only one that we actually enjoy. The food and service are both some of the best in the area. Don’t expect truly authentic Indian food - but the food is creative, well-presented, and most importantly, incredibly flavorful.
Our waiter (Jeff) during our most recent visit in September 2025 was amazing!!! He was so very patient with all our requests and questions, and went above and beyond to explain the menu and provide suggestions. Thanks to him for making a special birthday dinner even more special!!

Our first time here and the place has its own
vibe. We went in for dinner on a Thursday without a reservation and had to wait 5-10 minutes to get seated. We had the dal chawal arachni , pani puri shots, chicken bao, prawnstar, awadhi chicken biryani and the rasmalai cake. The presentation of all the food items was awesome.
Taste wise, The best among the lot were the pani puri shots, dal chawal Arachini and the chicken bao. Delicious. The awadhi chicken biryani was okay - I have had better biryanis. The dessert was a huge disappointment- there were too many things included to make the rasmalai look presentable but lacked taste. I felt I was having sweet milk.
The spice levels of the chicken bao and prawnstar are at least 4-5. So keep in mind it’s super spice before having it.

I was disappointed from the moment our first food item arrived- pani puri- India’s favorite dish known as flavor bomb. And here it came with the puri stuffed with plain bland Quinoa!!! UNIMAGINABLY DISASTROUS!
One of our friends ordered khichdi. I know you will say who orders khichdi and who even has that on the menu. Well we ordered it with the same curiosity to see what Farzi twist have they given to it. Well it was “Quinoa” again! They replaced rice with quinoa in the khichdi.
Vada pav was also average in taste. And so was paneer.
All of this at inflated price and small portion size. I think they charge for all the liquid nitrogen they use to glorify their average food.
But yes, there was one thing I really liked. It was innovative and tasty- the avocado tikka

I was extremely disappointed with my recent visit to Farzi Cafe in Bellevue. The staff's behaviour was completely unprofessional and rude, which unfortunately overshadowed the entire dining experience.
When I attempted to provide feedback about an issue, the response I received was both condescending and apathetic. Instead of listening to my concerns, the staff member dismissed them in a way that made it clear they did not care about customer satisfaction. This kind of attitude is unacceptable and shows a profound lack of respect for patrons.
A restaurant's atmosphere is not just about the food; it's also about the quality of the service. The rude and uncaring demeanour of the staff made me feel unwelcome and unheard. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this establishment to others.

Been here a couple of times, the drinks are literally water with no alcohol in it. When prompted the waiter said please “go to the bartender he will pour the drinks in front of you”
The food is extremely horrible, people stayed away from this restaurant in Bombay and it’s the same story here.
You should save some money and be better off going to the Din Tai Fung right opposite to this place.

I recently visited Seattle, and a friend recommended this place for lunch. The restaurant wasn’t busy at the time—only one other table was occupied. I was immediately impressed by the interior design, and the restroom was exceptionally clean, almost among the best I’ve seen.
They seemed to have a new menu, so I started with the Guntur Chilli Chicken Bao. It was fine, though nothing extraordinary, and the side of fries felt like frozen ones rather than freshly made.
Next, we tried the Farzi Paneer Lababdar. Back home, this dish usually comes with large chunks of paneer (cottage cheese), but here it was prepared a little differently, leaning tangy and slightly sweet. We paired it with tandoori roti—not my personal favorite, though it was decent—and the Malabar paratha, which was also fine.
We also ordered ghee jeera rice, but the first serving was undercooked and flaky. We pointed this out to our server, Morris, who promptly brought the chef over. The chef agreed to replace it, and the second serving was much better, cooked properly with no flakiness.
Overall, it was a decent experience. While the service was attentive—the owner even stopped by to check on us—the food itself felt average for a restaurant that positions itself as premium. When paying a higher price point, I expect dishes to be consistently fresh and made from scratch. I would rate this visit 3.5 stars.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Best Indian food in Bellevue! Farzi Café is a modern Indian restaurant that delivers both authentic flavor and creative presentation. The garlic naan is fluffy and perfectly charred, the curries are rich and comforting, and the bold spices make every dish unforgettable. Steaming pots, sizzling platters, and a lively atmosphere turn dinner into a full experience. Whether you’re local or visiting and searching for authentic Indian food near Seattle, this is one of the best Indian restaurants in Bellevue for date nights, family dinners, or celebrations. Don’t miss their signature curries and naan—it’s the highlight of the menu!

We ordered chicken biryani, paneer lababdar. Chicken biryani was cold and not up to the standards for a restaurant charging 25$ for it. We were told that it was made in the morning and the kitchen probably forgot to heat it(seriously?).

Impeccable service & extraordinary cuisine. The chef came to speak with us multiple times to make sure we liked every single dish. He poured his heart into the entire experience. We would love to come back when we are in town again.
My family and I had dinner here and left feeling underwhelmed. While the food itself wasn't bad, the overall value was disappointing. The portion sizes were surprisingly small for the price, which left us feeling like we had overpaid for our meal.
To add to our frustration, a substantial gratuity was automatically added to our bill. Given the high prices and small portions, a mandatory gratuity for 4 adult and 1 kid felt inappropriate and made the final total quite shocking.
I tried contacting the restaurant over phone but they gave a email to discuss my concern from which I never got a response.
For future diners, it's something to be aware of. We won't be returning.
Great fusion of Indian food. It has got class, feels light and healthy. Family loved it.
