Ok I don't know why I haven't reviewed Fuji Bakery because this place is delicious. The first few times I came there when they first open, they had samples and I fell in love with them. Literally everything I had was delicious. There was definitely a few things that was a miss but you can't like everything right? hahah It's been a while since I been there and with COVID-19, their hours are very limited as well. The lady that helped me was sooooo nice and helpful, she gave me her honest opinions of certain stuff and asked me what I don't like so she can avoid recommending things that I wouldn't like My goal was to get one item, but I ended up getting 4 items: Crunchy Cream malasada: ok this is amazing, especially with the crunchy cereal texture outside. The cream was good and abundant but the star is the crunchy texture -- if only every malasada has this texture :) Ube malasada -- this was also good but the ube flavor was lacking, you couldn't really tell it was ube unless you were told it was ube, so it was just ok in flavors. Azuki bread -- I love the texture of this one as well, it was a little chewier than the masalada but still very tasty. The only thing was the red bean filling inside, it was a little lacking compare to the malasadas. Veggie Foccacia Bread --- ooooh this was super good, i love the light texture of the focaccia bread and the cheesy top made it a very filling and hearty bread. OVerall, definitley would be back here to grab other things in the future as they always have interesting pastries here.

So happy Fuji Bakery has a Bellevue home in Uwajimaya. I'm a fan of its shop in the International District, and although they don't have as much as what's offered in its Seattle location, you can find all the faves here. Just remember to get here before 3pm, as Fuji Bakery closes then inside Uwajimaya. I've been here countless times, only to find the display case with a sign that says I missed them. Darn! But fortunately, in my most recent visit, I finally made a note of the time and got here early. But not early enough. They sold out of their famous crunchy cream balls, which are donuts that are coated in crunchy cereal with a cream inside. Next time! But my personal fav is their ube malasada! Anything ube and I'll jump through hoops, and it's a solid treat here, with lots of ube filling inside! They have an assortment of different pastries here, including desserts in the fridge, like tiramisu and cakes. Eastsiders, be sure to treat yo'self when you're shopping around Uwajimaya!

It's amazing that they go above and beyond for their customers!! Yesterday when I placed order online, Jason reached out to me saying that there is a glitch with their system so they offered refund for me since they don't sell mont blanc in this location. Also, he called again to check and make sure I pick up my order. When I got to uwajimaya there was a long line and he even offered curb side pick up for me!! And last but not least their pastries are on point. So far I tried almond croissant, curry croquette, canneles, and custard filling pastry. I am willing to come back to try more pastries!!

Fantastic pastries from a counter in the Bellevue Uwajimaya. The ube malasada/doughnut is a highlight. Not your typical Asian bakery. Very European-style viennoiserie. Frugal with the 5's, but this is a solid 4+! Only complaint is the opening time. For a bakery that sells breakfast pastries such as croissants, an opening time of 10 am is pushing the limits of my hunger. Especially as you have to get coffee/tea elsewhere. Would be great if they opened with the grocery store at 9.

I love this place. The food is good hot, the cold items are amazing. The variety can't be believed. And the pastry shop with the ube custard donuts? ??

Prices are bit high esp for unfilled Malasadas but everything here is good. Days/hours vary so check before you go. Their International Dist location has a big selection. Since Midori in Redmond closed & moved away to CA, this will be my go to.

I'm a fan of Fuji Bakery, and this is the third location I've visited. Located inside of Uwajimaya, it operates at slightly shorter hours, closing earlier. On a typical day, I recommend arriving by 1pm, latest 2pm for a wider selection. Weekdays are less busy than weekend. Our favorites at Fuji are: - Ube Malasada - The typical malasada with the sugar exterior and filled with ube cream. Yum! - Crunchy Cream - Similar to a malasada, this has the custard filling with corn flakes and sugar exterior. The corn flakes give it the crunch! - Cannelé - A small French pastry flavored with rum and vanilla with a soft and tender custard center and a dark, thick caramelized crust. This elegant dainty little piece is well worth the price. - Matcha Cruffin - This is a croissant, rolled with matcha, made into a muffin cup, and drizzled with matcha frosting. - Azuki Bread - A toasty little baked bun is filled with the beloved azuki (red) beans. On any given Fuji Bakery visit, if I can find any 3 of the above, it's a good visit!

I tried a couple of their baked goods and they were all really soft, fresh, and tasty!

Fuji is one of the best bakeries (if not the very best) in Seattle.

Randomly walked by this bakery while visiting Chinatown and had to stop after seeing the selection of delicious pastries in their window. The crunch cream was AMAZING! Fresh cream, still cool, with a crunchy donuty outside. Tastebud explosion! Did not see an item over 5$, very decently priced. Will definitely be back to try more.

When local + artisan + Japanese + French, you get a bakery with delicious treats like Fuji Bakery.Somehow it feels like the pandemic has made their croissant bigger, flakier, and more delicious. Is that possible, or am I losing my mind? And I'm so glad I finally got to try their signature best selling donut, the Crunchy Cream. It is a brioche donut filled with vanilla custard cream, then coated in crunchy corn flakes and dusted in sugar. I've never had anything like it before, and now I understand why everyone loves it. I am still partial to their ube malasada (go early if you want those), but thumbs up for the crunchy cream too.Their windows are boarded up so you can't ogle over the pastries as you try (and fail) to narrow down your order, but the friendly staff will gladly help you choose. They have a small window where you can peek in to see a compact display of their goodies, and you also pay and pickup your order from that window. And I love that they have a loyalty program too.
