I think the serving sizes are way too big. I ordered a reuben and it was large enough to serve four people comfortably. It was tasty but very messy and a very sloppy experience overall. Be prepared to spend more than $50 dollars here easily.
The sandwiches are delicious and filling definitely satisfying.The outdoor seating is also great, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a beautiful day. The overall atmosphere is pleasant, though the food is a bit underwhelming. Still, it's a relaxing place worth visiting.
After living on this street for 15 months, I finally tried Gilbert’s. It was the price of eggs on the board that stopped me. But after looking at the menu more carefully, I realized they serve New York style brunch that I miss so much! The beef sandwich and salad (first date?) were so good! The onion soup was okay on its own, but they cooked bread in the soup, which made it soggy. Still a good experience though.
