This is a pretty authentic Asian place on the Eastside. So don't expect service to be great. We came during lunch rush and it was busy. We got lucky and didn't have to wait but there was definitely a lot of people waiting for tables after. So we got rushed a bit in eating our food as well as was asked to leave around the 1 hour mark of eating. I didn't mind it much because we did finish our food before they kicked us out.The place is small and cramped but it wasn't too bad and it's pretty loud from all the people. I was only able to take a picture of some and not all the dishes:Tofu stuffed pork 3/5Pork belly with veggies 3.5/5Eggplant 3/5Hot and sour potato shred 3/5Crispy brisket 5/5The only one that was memorable was crispy brisket. that one was tender and nicely done and moist. All the other dishes were standard. Portion was decent but I think the price is kinda high for them. Other costs: tea cost $2/person, rice is also $2/personOverall, it was a decent place and I'm pretty sure I'll be back eventually since it's on the Eastside and it's easier to get to than Seattle. Maybe I'll try dim sum next time since they do have the cart styles

Wow, amazingly surprised. The theme here is “FRESH”! The dim sum is like tasting something freshly made that day and also not sitting in the cart for a while. (This is a non cart dim sum restaurant, just fyi) Everything we had was delicious and every time we were served, they said “thank you”, including the bus boy who bided us farewell and thank you when we were leaving. As my husband would say, “It’s nice to be surprised by such a great experience for a change.”

This place is so good! It was my first time trying Hakka food and it definitely won't be my last. Everything was really yummy and it was so fun trying all the different dishes. The customer service here is great - everyone is super nice and friendly. The portions are pretty good, and it's a great place to eat family style with your besties. The parking situation is chef's kiss (so many empty spaces) and the restaurant itself is really spacious. We ordered: Mei can kou rou (so good and our favorite by far) Tofu pot (also bomb)Shrimp something (it was pretty good but not really anything that stood our particularly) Chinese water spinach (REALLY good) Radish cake (decent, it could be crispier) If you're looking for a new restaurant to try, I would highly recommend this spot!

Had our first visit here a few days ago. Customer service was outstanding! The food was delicious and served at the right temperatures. They have very delicious and aromatic teas!! The best Jasmine tea I've ever had. Just one concern is, they served the tea in plastic tea cups that gave off a mothball smell. We could not drink much of the tea until we asked for other cups/glasses. Just be mindful if they serve you tea in those plastic cups. I would highly recommend this place!

An incredible find. Not only is Hakka style food generally rare, such an enthusiastic owner may be more so. The crispy chicken was wonderful, perfectly crisp and not too spicy. The Hakka chow fun had solid wok hay and taste. The owner thanked every table and packed up their take out. The place is tiny but so incredibly clean and organized. Service was very efficient.

Tl;dr delicious food and friendly staffCame here for dinner with some friends and had a great time trying Hakka food! Absolutely delicious in the heart of Bellevue. They also do dim sum which was a surprise, I don't know of too many dim sum restaurants outside of Seattle.

This is a no frills Chinese restaurant in Bellevue (located in uwajimaya plaza). Stuffed tofu and seafood hotpot: They are known for their stuffed tofu with pork which was included in this hotpot dish. Came with fish fillets and small pieces of scallops as well as veggies. I loved the flavor of this dish and would definitely get it again.Beef Noodle Soup: Good flavor and decent portion. Noodle size and texture was perfect. It even heated well the next day. SIngapore Noodles: Curry flavored vermicelli noodles with pieces of roasted pork and shrimp. The curry flavor was not overpowering but it was a bit on the drier side. They also have dim sum for a decent price. Some dishes are only available on weekends (youtiao and soy milk). Parking: Lots of parking in the plaza.

This is my new favorite place outside of CID to get dim sum! The lines aren't as long as some other places, and the interior and tables are very clean. For food, everything tastes pretty fresh, not greasy at all. It's a little pricier than average for dim sum, around $5-6 per dish, but completely worth it for the flavor and quality imo. Note that they do charge for tea per person, but that's pretty common for dim sum places. We ordered some dim sum classics: - Beef tripe- Chicken feet- Minced pork congee with preserved egg- Chinese donuts and sweet soy milk (they have a savory soy milk as well, but I prefer sweet)We also ordered Hakka stuffed pork tofu, which came out hot and sizzling, and everyone else in the restaurant turned their heads like they do when you order sizzling fajitas at a Mexican restaurant. This dish really impressed me in particular, it was my first time trying something like this and it was super juicy and savory, a solid 10/10! I highly recommend everything we ordered!!

This place is awesome. Absolutely great quality, delicious food. Owner super friendly. They are always really busy and you'll likely have to wait for a table, but DEFINITELY worth it.

Search for a good Chinese restaurant led us here. The Yelp reviews were encouraging and we thought of visiting Hakka House instead of driving to Seattle for some good Chinese. This restaurant didn't disappoint and was a gem of a find. We wanted to have some good soup on a cold day. We ordered the Chicken and corn egg drop soup. We also ordered the seafood congee, Singapore noodles and couple dim sums. The food came quick and piping hot as well. The soup was simple but phenomenal with a sprinkle of white pepper and the hot sauce. Extra points for not serving us smelly chicken. The congee was comforting. The Singapore noodles were on point with the right amount of added curry powder flavor. The dim sums were solid as well. The highlight of the meal was it was all fresh, light and non greasy. I loved the food so much we were back again a few days later for lunch. This time we ordered the same dim sums - shrimp and chives as well as the chiu-chao style dumplings. Also the house special fried rice and Hakka spice. crispy chicken. The crispy chicken was fantastic and our kids gobbled it up in no time. So glad to have a good Chinese restaurant in the Eastside closer to home and we plan on going back to try more of their other dishes.

I have tried a variety dishes here. I been here twice and see myself coming more.Great service, busy parking lot but always can find a space. Restrooms are clean. The workers here speak Cantonese and Mandarin. They come to your table to order even though there is qr code on table.

We got the Hakka stir fry, Hakka stuffed pork tofu, and Hakka beef. Hakka stir fry portions were very small for the price. Hakka beef was tender and tasty. I think it was slightly salty, but it was still tasty. Hakka stuffed pork tofu was also good. All the dishes were fresh and steaming when we got them.

We had such a good experience dining here a few days ago, my husband insisted on coming back to try some other items on their menu. My granddaughter loves tofu ( soy bean cakes and fish so that's what we tried this time. We called in the order to go and swung by to pickup our food in 20 minutes as they said it would be ready. We ordered their Hakka stuffed tofu chef special, and Hakka fillet sliced fish. Both dishes were very tasty and portions were well packed and plentiful. Would rate these dishes 4/5Restaurant was very busy at 5 pm this evening. Very happy that this restaurant was well supported.

I visited this place on Black Friday for lunch as many other restaurants were closed. I was so pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. It's a mid sized restaurant with plenty of space to seat small groups and larger groups. Didn't seem to be too busy when we went around 11 but did seem to get progressively busier the closer we got to lunch time. The interior is clean and well kept. The food was delicious! The fried rice and kung pao chicken were well seasoned. None of the dishes were too greasy (I find that sometimes stir fry dishes sit in their own grease) and tasted very clean. I loved their dim sum. A bit pricey at $5-6 a dish but had great texture. They still had a bit of chew and didn't taste like they had ground all the texture out of the ingredients. I haven't come across a place that puts sesame oil on their dim sum so that was a bit surprising but delicious nevertheless. I really enjoyed the ability to add a dim sum sampler plate for $3.50 to the lunch special. Perfect when you want a variety of dim sum but are eating alone.

A good choice to grab dimsum on the East side. Came for lunch on a Sunday with a group of friends and got seated pretty quickly-- just barely missed the groups of people who ended having to wait shortly after we arrived. This is the kind of dimsum restaurant where the waiters come around with the dimsum dishes in the carts (the best kind of dimsum imo!). We had a group who was able to converse in Mandarin which helped when picking dishes, but staff was very friendly and helpful. There are bigger, family-style dishes on the menu which you can order from the kitchen. We got a variety of dishes. Most memorable dishes for me were the chicken feet and BBQ pork steamed bao. The chicken feet had great flavor and the BBQ pork baos are always a must for me at dimsum. Other than these two dishes, everything else was good but nothing outstanding in my books. A true rating would be a 3.5/5 for me. Hakka House is good and does its job. Service was friendly even during peak lunch time for us too!
