Common guys. Say hi, bye , say thank you. It is easy, smile at least. Super bad service.
Disappointing experience that reflects poor business ethics and a lack of basic customer care. I ordered a drink with boba on the side to avoid a choking hazard for my kiddo—only to receive significantly less drink than usual, despite paying full price for the beverage and extra for the boba.
When I asked for the drink to be topped up (a simple fix involving water or milk), staff flatly refused, citing “they need to leave room for the boba”. Clearly it’s a cheap way to make a petty 80c.
What’s frustrating is there was no attempt to resolve the issue or show any understanding.
The staff seems to be baffled by my logic: don’t order boba on the side and get full volume; order it safely on the side, pay extra and lose 25% of the drink?
By the way, other stores don’t do this, it’s just this store.
This isn’t about a few cents of liquid—it’s about principle.
As a paying customer, I expect transparency and fairness. Instead, I was left with a sense that the store cuts corners at the customer’s expense. Ridiculous.
Ok this review could be bias but our whole family loves Happy Lemon. They seemed to have their recipes down. I always get my usual go to - mango smoothie with crystal boba. The husband is an addict for their strawberry shortcake smoothie. The kids just order whatever they want. Oh don’t forget the bubble waffle, add the puff cream dipping sauce, you’ll thank me later!

If you order a hot boba tea, don't hold the upper part of the cup as it will blast and you will burn your hand.
Another location where the employees decides to stop serving bubble waffles 15 minutes before they store’s closing time.
Usually pretty solid but they forgot one of my toppings...and I ordered online so i don't see how it was missed. I guess I just won't tip next time to make up the diff
Every time I go to a different Happy Lemon I remember just how much better run this location is. The best location by far. Other locations take longer to get drinks out while having people dawdling in corners. Every time I go here they are strictly professional and when I say 0 sugar, they put in 0 sugar.
The place looks nice, but somehow I ordered hot drink (said it 3 times) but still they did it cold, and the salty cheese taste didn't present at all.

I got a black tea salted cream with boba, half sugar less ice.
The boba's texture did not taste fresh. It was tough, with a hardened core.
The tea & cream were just okay - but that was within expectation.
They should give a better package instead of paper bags for to-go. Cause the paper bag is too thin, it broke when I hold it then my drink dropped on the ground and wasted.
50% sugar on my drinks was more like 150% sugar even kids couldn’t drink it.
The people inside making drinks don’t seem happy. The lady was pretty snippy but that’s ok as long as they can make the drink right.
Wasted 23 bucks plus tips on drinks we couldn’t drink. Try other places

Without fail, the folks behind the counter are so unfriendly and rude! I’m sure they don’t want to be here. Makes me super uncomfortable to come in and I try not to take it personally. Would give it one star but the drinks and bubble waffles are decent. I have, however, started going to other boba places and skipping this one.
Horrible service!! Seems the management hires the most unfriendly people on earth. The staffs are super unfriendly. I have been there 4/5 times. Specifically Each of the staffs who took order was very unfriendly. I asked avocado matcha to have slightly less ice. They rudely says no. I know they can’t do it without ice but in all locations they respect this small request or at least politely say no to it. But I don’t understand may be all staffs st Bellevue location are not properly trained. Look at bothell or Lynwood location such a friendly location!
If the staffs would have worn name tags on them, i could specifically report it and not blame other staffs.
Please act on it before you lose customers.
I am so very happy to see others reported similar behavior of the staffs
