Best mochi sweets a hidden treasure of sweets from Japan

momo

They have the best imported sweets such as the peaches and the mango mochi. The staff is always super helpful and friendly. I'm a bit sad to see they were closed several weeks ago. Their storefront has a sign they are under renovations, but plan to look for another location.

Huge selection of produce, other foods, gifts and cooking tools. It is my go to place when my regular Asian store does not have an item,. It is a mite high priced!

Had the mochi and doriyaki, outstanding! I can't believe there wasn't a line here! 100% will be back.

Yummy mochi! They have all of their mochis in the fridge so you have to wait at least 30 mins before you can have them. I waited 30min, and I think 40min or even 50min would’ve done better thawing but regardless they were scrumptious!

I love this little Japanese confectionary nestled in a corner of Uwajimaya. They have the best fresh cream daifuku I've ever had, the mochi skin is thin and soft as can be, and the filling is generous and delicious! I got the caramel macchiato (get this one coffee lovers!!) and caramel pudding ones and ate them before I remembered to take a photo. Lol. Now I am on a mission to try them all! They also offer a good selection of Japanese style cookies, jellies, senbei, and other wagashi. The shop lady was really lovely too and gave me 2 full sized cookie samples for the credit card machine taking a long time to figure itself out.

Review for just their mochi ice cream. I was so excited to try this because I LOVE mochi Flavors: - mango: 5/5, the only flavor I liked because the mango was strong and the mochi cover was soft and chewy- matcha: 1/5, the rice cover on this one was SO thick and the matcha flavor wasn't strong at all - Sakura: 1/5, sickly sweet and I couldn't finish it. - cafe: 3/5, not bad but I expected coffee ice cream inside because the cream is just overly sweet and dilutes the coffee flavor. Overall: pass on their mochi for something else

this place legit ruined mochi ice cream for me. i will never have any mochi ice cream again if it's not from them. they hand-make it that day and give you instructions for how to keep it in your fridge and how long to let it thaw before eating it. delicious, amazing

I came here after watching Miss Mina Oh and Mama Oh enjoy this mochi on YouTube. So maybe my expectations were too high. But the mochi were too sweet for my friend and me! We were expecting more subtle flavors but it's pretty strong, like your all American apple pie in a mochi. I still might go back to try some more flavors.

Its inside of uwajimaya Bellevue and these sweets are some of the most traditional Wagashi (Asian sweets). I love the mamedaifuku and dorayaki. It also is a great petite gift to give.
