Service and food was top notch as always. A lot of the little touches that set this restaurant apart are gone. I get it but it's still sad. I purposely ordered a large steak so I would have leftovers and then I forgot it and didn't remember til I was almost home. My screw up😟

We stopped in for the Chef's First Seating, must be in by 5:45pm. We had no wait and were shown to our table quickly. The water greeted us and gave us water. He was a bit overwhelmed with tables and did take some time to get back for our Drinks, but did bring us Bread (Which was fabulous) We chose from the pre-set menu and had the Iceberg Wedge, (Bit small but Loved the Bacon) Both of us went with the 8oz American Wagyu, 1 Med, 1 Med Rare, Steaks were cooked to perfection. The sides, Asparagus, Yukon Gold potatoes were Great. Dessert, 1 had the Flourless Chocolate Cake, (Wanted to lick the plate) Creme Brulee, was to die for. Overall had a great time, did not feel rushed with our dinner, great value we will be back, Nice Job John.

Phenomenal from the moment we walked in to the moment we sat down. Everything about John Howie Steakhouse was spectacular, from the food selection to the drinks, and the overall experience. A special shoutout to Natasha, who was incredibly humble, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout our visit. Her service truly elevated the evening. Toward the end of the night I wasn't feeling well, but that had absolutely nothing to do with the restaurant or the experience, everything was amazing. I can't wait to come back again, and I definitely will very soon. Highly recommend.

I've been going to John Howie since they first opened, and it has always been an amazing experience. It's traditionally the first place we visit whenever we're back in the Seattle area, which makes this visit especially disappointing. Unfortunately, this time the experience was completely off. The steak was not prepared properly and had to be returned. I spoke with the manager regarding both the food and the service, but was not rectified, which was surprising given the circumstances and the restaurant's reputation. At the very least, I would have appreciated a gesture such as comped desserts or some acknowledgment of the inconvenience. Instead, we left feeling underwhelmed and unheard. This was not the John Howie experience we've come to expect, and sadly, it will be our last visit.

Went there for my birthday. Treated amazingly well by all of the staff. Food was outstanding. Head fois gras, waygu filet mignon, Brussels sprouts and topped it off with bananas foster for desert. A bit pricey but it was a special occasion so we splurged. Filet melted our mouths, done to perfection.

First visit to John Howie Steak and won't be our last. Yes, it's expensive, but the experience exceeded the price. The food was outstanding. Our (Ametican Prime) steaks were superb in terms of flavor, temperature, and tenderness. All the sides for our party of 4 were perfectly cooked and delicious. There's a very nice selection of wines by the glass, not the standard restaurant fare, plus a choice of pour size. The service was equally outstanding (Thank you, Mario and team!) Service was welcoming from the moment we walked in the door, and very professional. Mario and team were attentive but not intrusive. Their impeccable service only added to our outstanding dinner experience.

Always have a fantastic time, server recommendations were excellent, food was wonderful. I do miss the old crab cakes, the new white pepper ones are like a 8/10, so absolutely delicious but the citrus vinaigrette in the previous were an 11/10.

The service was attentive and polished without being intrusive, the atmosphere was elegant and celebratory, and every dish was prepared to perfection. The steaks were exceptional, the sides and cocktails were on point, and the overall experience felt thoughtful and refined. It was a flawless evening and easily one of the best dining experiences we've had—highly recommended for a special occasion.
