The food here is delicious and comes with a reasonable potion. There are a lot of items to choose from. The service is quick and friendly.

Lots of options and reminded me of my old Taiwanese street food place- Hard Wok that closed down the Bellevue Lake Hills location. My favorite dish here is the fried mushroom with salted egg yolks. Crunchy salty and juicy on the inside. The popcorn chicken here is also decent good. Pickled cucumber is very flavorful and has a spicy kick to it. The friend rice noodle was not as flavorful as I'd like. Felt like the cook forgot to add salt/soy sauce. The green bean stir fry is meh... I have had better at DTF or Supreme Dumplings. Overall, I am still happy to come back because of the options and most dishes are 3.5 stars and above.

Good food. Great service! Super efficient establishment! Would visit again to try the other goodies on the menu.

Small and hidden on a random street in Bellevue, but I was so impressed by the tastiness of this spot! Dishes were a little small/lacked protein which lowers the overall value but otherwise really yummy flavors in each dish. Will definitely be back. I didnt order so I dont know what the dishes were called, but glad my friend ordered all these for us!

It's easy to write a negative comment/review about a restaurant, but to receive service so good that you are so happy to leave a positive review.First off, my family of 4 arrived just when lunch rush began. So it is expected to wait for a bit. But the 2 ladies ran the front so well, things were cleaned up and set up in such efficient way, we were seated in no time. They have excellent communication between each other which made the process went so smoothly.Food was great, the C2 dish (crispy chicken with special spicy sauce) was really good. Not really spicy but for someone that doesn't really eat spicy, I have nothing to complain about. Too bad the fried chicken steak over rice was a bit overcooked and dry.At the end we decided to get some bubble tea. Although they were so busy they were spinning like a top, the lady with red hair took the time to introduce their drink to us, and even offered to split the drink for our kids so they each have one drink in hand (they were so surprised and felt special).Gosh, the tipping system is so abused nowadays, but for these 2 ladies? A hands-down "take my money cause you rock"!!

Food was amazing, food was served very quickly; tasted like authentic Taiwanese food - the 蚵仔煎 was just like how it tasted in Taiwan

We have always enjoyed the food here and most of the time, the service is alright. The most recent time however, not so much. The longer haired waitress mumbled in mandarin twice, "I'm not even busy anymore, now you leave". We were there for an hour and we had 2 kids. I hardly think an hour is taking our time given food arrived 15 minutes into our visit. Very disappointed not with this restaurant but of this particular waitress.

Looking for chai is one of my favorite restaurants! I go there a lot and the food there is consistently good and there is always lots of options to choose from the menu. I would definitely recommend it to people who love Taiwanese food and for people who have never tried Taiwanese food before and want to try it for the first time! But the only reason I'm leaving a 4 star review is because it's really crowded and hard to get a table.

This Taiwanese food establishment is very authentic and affordable for Seattle and Eastside. The menu is very vast and they have all the fun milk tea drinks too (hot and cold!) I recommend getting the hot plate dishes. We like the chicken with black pepper sauce. I would come here again and probably bring any friends and family for a casual and delicious meal.

Disappointing food. I ordered the sizzling platter with chicken steak, and it was basically an oven baked chicken breast with sauce poured on top of it, served on a metal plate. Wasn’t really hot let alone sizzling. An overall underwhelming experience.

Decent prices on a majority of items. Hot Pot is quick, delicious and large.Opens fairly late, compared to Chinese restaurants in the area.Don’t expect to linger long if you’re going to order close to closing time or you’ll get shooed outa here. Plus they don’t care if you’re eating, because they’re going to clean up the place with or without you. and I hate restaurants that do this.

Update: I've come here a few times with large groups, also with my extended family who is Taiwanese. They all really love the food because it tastes authentic. I love the popcorn chicken now - my review before wasn't that great but maybe that was a miss! I also love the stir fried bamboo shoots. It's amazing. We usually order family style so everyone can share. It's usually packed with other Asians so you know it's legit.

This restaurant always satisfies my cravings for delicious, authentic Taiwanese food. Service is great. Price is reasonable. I drive 25 miles just to eat there weekly. I have introduced many friends to this restaurant and everyone loved it.

Friendly atmosphere and generous portions. The popcorn chicken has a nice crunch. The flavor was a bit bland so I asked for extra seasoning.
