- lovely shop with interesting options of matcha -I rarely come to old Bellevue even when I used to live in downtown Bellevue 10 years ago. It's nice to see interesting shops here, and the decor is primarily targeted towards women as it's very dreamy and cute. And it did its job since there's like 15 women here with 1-2 men when I was there. It was very easy to order and they are card only, but I was able to tip with cash. The smoothie is more on the solid side (more solid than the two fruit smoothie shops close by). I got the cloudy coconut, which is their most expensive drink without any add-on. The drink tastes like 80% banana and 20% other stuff. I absolutely cannot taste the coconut in this drink at all. I'm not saying it's bad, but it should be named as banana dream or something lol!!! And I will not spend that much money for this given it's very similar to the smoothies I can make at home with a banana. I'd recommend they increase the ratio of coconut milk and decrease the size of the banana they put in for a better balance.I like this shop and it has a very relaxing vibe. 90% of the customers ordered matcha, as expected. I'm guessing their matcha must be really good since it's quite busy when I was here. I will come back for matcha, but I highly recommend skipping the smoothie (or at least the cloudy coconut) as it has a low cp value imo. But if you want something light for lunch, this is a good replacement as it's filling.

Went here on a friend date and it was both of our first time. I got a cute sticker, the dirty matcha and the house avocado toast and both were amazing. The place itself was cute and pink with lots of plants and a gorgeous light fixture. I work a few blocks away so I will definitely recommend this place to my clients and be back myself.

Definitely worth checking out, even if you don’t normally drink matcha. The strawberry drink is really good! Very vegan friendly. I have heat intolerance and it was warmer than expected today, so I went in there to grab a chilled drink. I was semi-delirious and didn’t see where I was supposed to order (couldn’t figure out why the employee wasn’t talking to me), then a lady came in a few minutes after me and walked up to the register and ordered multiple drinks. I was grumpy thinking I was going to be trapped there for a while with the sun blazing through the windows, but I guess the girl working there realized I had been confused and made my drink first. Very nice of her!FYI if this happens to anyone else, the register is far from the door sort of hidden from view, near the bathrooms

This cafe is such a vibe! I'm a matcha lover so this shop makes me sooooo happy. If you like everything matcha, this is the spot for you! Literally, the name is so fitting. It really is like matcha magic here. There are so many creative drink options on the menu. I didn't realize how customizable you can get with matcha which makes me appreciate matcha even more. I recommend the potions which have healthy adaptogens and boosters included. The golden matcha latte was the first drink I tried here. It had a strong earthy flavor and a nice balance of sweet and bitterness with the matcha. The iced drinks are so aesthetically pleasing. They also offer açaí bowls and toasts on top of that. There are so many health benefits of drinking matcha. I would probably come here every day for a drink if I lived on the eastside.

In the mood for matcha? Check this out. Very cute spot for a tasty matcha drink. Many flavors so will need to come again to try it all. The horchata was nice but I really want to try the ube flavor. Extra points for nice photo worthy aesthetics and extra extra for female POC founder! They also have toasties if you’re hungry, but we didn’t try it.Ended up spending around $8 per drink plus an extra $3 for a neat holographic sticker. Totaled around $20 and threw on a tipParking: Plenty of parking at 9am. Not sure about later

I got the toast flight and strawberry matcha latte. The toasts were fresh and delicious. The drink was also really good and not too sweet (which I like)

I just came back from China, so everything in Seattle is bad. A cup of Mixue Four Seasons Spring is only 3.6 yuan, which is very fragrant and delicious. A cup of matcha and a super sweet acai bowl here cost 150 yuan +However, this store is also on the expensive side. The taste of the matcha is actually okay, but in the end it is all powdered dough, which is really unrefined. The appearance of the bowl is okay, the matcha ice in it is not bitter at all, but it is not too sweet, but it is considered better in Seattle. Got it

As an avid matcha lover, I knew I had to give Matcha Magic a try. Matcha Magic is also women and BIPOC-owned and so I was even more incentivized to support the business. I've passed by it multiple times while in Downtown Bellevue but never had the chance to stop in for a drink. However, I decided after an early workout class that today was the day.I arrived at 8:04am on a weekday. Note that Matcha Magic opens at 8am. However, I think the workers were running slightly behind schedule as they hadn't even turned on the lights yet. With that said, they welcomed me inside and took my order within 5 minutes of arriving. I got my drink within 10 minutes after ordering.Matcha Magic has lots of different matcha drink combinations including matcha with ube, matcha with pineapple, and matcha with horchata. They also just have classic matcha if you're a matcha purist. After perusing the menu, I opted for a STRAWBERRY MATCHA LATTE (+$6.50) with oat milk as I wanted something just a little sweet to get through the rest of the day. If you're familiar with Boba Guys in CA, their signature Strawberry Matcha Latte is one of my favorite drinks. Strawberry and matcha are just an amazing combination. Note that the strawberry matcha latte only comes in a 16-oz iced option. With tax, the drink came out to a little over $7 plus tip. While slightly on the pricey side, it is definitely not outrageous as many bubble tea places charge about $7 for a bubble tea these days. Then again, the cups are usually 20-oz vs 16-oz. The other matcha drinks were surprisingly anywhere from $0.50 to $2 more except for the regular ceremonial matcha which was also $6.50 for 16-oz.The STRAWBERRY MATCHA LATTE was beautifully presented with perfect layers of matcha, oat milk, and strawberry puree. Also, I'm not sure why, but crushed ice makes all the difference in an iced latte! When I took my first sip, I just got strawberry puree which was pretty sweet and slightly tangy However, after thoroughly mixing the layers together, the sweetness level was perfect! Note that I usually prefer my drinks between 30-50% sweetness. While other reviewers have commented that the matcha tastes watered down, I didn't have that issue. I could taste both the bitterness from the matcha as well as the sweet fruitiness from the strawberry puree. The atmosphere is casual and trendy. The cafe walls are plastered with green and pink floral wallpaper and the interior furniture and decor follow the same green and pink color theme. They also have a couple of neon lines that state "I love you so matcha" and "It's in the magic". While the cafe is on the smaller side, it would definitely be a cool place to work or study.Overall: 4/5 for drink, 4/5 for service, 4/5 for atmosphere

After having the best matcha of my life in Vancouver, BC, I was desperate for another matcha latte. We decided to stop by Matcha Magic. I ordered the standard matcha latte with oat milk, and it was pretty good! You can tell it is ceremonial matcha, as my drink had a nice matcha flavor, and it was not bitter. My non-vegan boyfriend had their fruity pebbles matcha (note: may or may not be vegan; depending on your viewpoints, I do not eat fruity pebbles). He is not a big matcha person, so he loved it because he said it was very sweet and essentially as "caffeinated cereal milk." In other words, Matcha Magic has options for everyone! The person working was not the most friendly, so it was a little difficult to tell what was vegan (do they use honey in some of the lattes? Is the collagen powder vegan? Do they have non-whey powder?) beyond the standard drinks that are clearly vegan. However, I appreciate that the drinks only come with plant milks. They also validated our parking for two hours, which was nice. The inside is cute, with some seating. While it was not a life-changing matcha, it was pretty good, and that makes me happy enough.
