Been there three times now and each time I get to try something new. The menu changes with new rolls all the time and staff is super nice... bakeme roll and the skyler roll are the bomb .... giant dragon roll never disappoints

I ordered some sushi rolls for lunch since my delta coworkers recommended me. It was amazing !! It was fresh and rice was bomb !! Loved it. So I decided to bring to my Japanese friend she loved it too !! Can't wait to try more other sushi rolls.

I am not sure the relationship between this place and the Musashi's sushi restaurant in Factoria or China Town. This place looks like a quick lunch spot, with reasonable selections and taste. I agree with some Yelpers that the price is a little too high for the quality of food you get (especially the bento box). We probably won't stop by again, especially with $7 parking in the garage (no street parking around this location). As I mentioned, the taste of their food is reasonable. We got a spicy chicken bento box and two rolls. The rice was a little dry too...

Awesome sushi place in downtown Bellevue, apparently a hidden treasure that most want to keep a secret! I love every roll we ordered and each roll was fresh, tasty with great quality of ingredients. Be prepared to wait during rush hour but was well worth it! Thanks NW for yet another great sushi experience! Wonder why only 4 stars(?)--because I would have liked a real dining sushi experience vice to go boxes. Yep, they come in styrofoam or paper boxes! For sushi, I usually like to eat it right away fresh from the chef's hand to mine but this is the best to go sushi I had ever eaten and they were delicious! If in a better setting they could easily charge double and it would be okay. But most important was that the quality of the rolls was top notch even despite the lack of ambience or necessary ceremony as an ode to the Samurai! Coming back for sure next time i'm in town!

The food took a little white, but it was good. They now share the same location with Yeti Bento.

Great place for affordable yet tasty sushi rolls! It's a little hard to find since it's in a storefront with the name Yeti Bento (not Musashi Cafe) written on the sign, which is confusing, but pretty worth it for cheap, yummy sushi. I don't know if they're related at all to the other sushi chain Musashi's, but compared to them, Musashi Cafe offers more Americanized sushi rolls, which is to say that they have rolls with way more different toppings and add-ons rather than solely focusing on the fish. They definitely hit the spot when you're craving some more exciting flavors together, you usually don't even need soy sauce because there are other sauces already on it. The only dish that really wowed me was the salmon nigiri because of how fatty the salmon was, but the other rolls were decent too. Besides sushi, they also offer a variety of Korean food, which I have yet to try. My only complaint is that the rolls we got were not rolled very tight, so when we picked them up with our chopsticks they kinda just fell apart on the plate. This is pretty important when eating sushi imo so you're not shoveling loose rice into your mouth like we did. I will say the kitchen seemed pretty hectic like they were either short-staffed or just had a lot of orders come in at once, so our order wasn't taken immediately, which seems to be the norm here (been here twice before), but it's not a big deal, I'd still come here again.

WARNING. Take a good look at your order Firstly, me and and my other half comes to this small business often. And We drive about 40 miles to eat here and that comes to show how much we love their food. Now to the ugly. And the ugly revolves around customer care. This was our first time actually dining in as we usually take out and eat at the Bellevue park across of the shopping mall. My other half is currently pregnant and she ordered the Shrimp tempura which has crab Mayo in the roll. And this isn't our first time ordering this roll. We got our roll and sat the the large table that located on the right side of the store. If you see the picture I posted, the shrimp tempura roll is on the far right side. It in the afternoon and we were hungry. Half way through eating, my other half noticed that it tasted different and only noticed that the crab Mayo was substituted by spicy tuna. I personally went to the front and asked the cashier to confirm if it's truly spicy tuna. The cashier confirmed that it was made with spicy tuna because "they ran out of crab Mayo" and she ended that conversation with "it's just spicy tuna". In disbelief, I just walked back to the table to inform my other half that it's spicy tuna and she was upset in disbelief and stopped eating. We didn't make any commotion. I had a guest with me and we finished early to just leave. I walked up to the cashier to nicely inform her and the staff that it would have been nice to know if they made any substitutes to our order in the first place. There was other guest inside and I didn't want to make a scene, it was a simple friendly customer suggestion. And the cashier responded with just "sorry". As I normally do, I clean up after my family and make it easier for the employees to clean up. While doing this, the cashier talked to the other employees and I heard and saw one of the employees say "then they shouldn't have ate here"...And I walked out. Fast forward to the end of the day. My other half left a review below and this is where I got upset. The owner replied back to her review and comically played the lying game. She mentioned that it was an online order and emailed us about the substitute...no we dined in. She mentioned that she offered a refund and an extra dish...she did not offer anything. She mentioned that we was okay with eating the given dish...we did not say that. And here's the funny part, I saw the owners picture on her Yelp response and she was the very one who made that comment about not having to eat there in the first place. Wow!! Here's my overall issue. If you ran out of something, please inform your customer about any substitutions because of food allergy. A simple task. As a business owner, own up to the mistake. Don't make excuses because you're digging yourself a bigger hole. Just Don't lie period. I wasn't going to make it a big deal out of it but the fact that the owner's response had no ownership to the situation and clearly stated lies...Oh my...how comical and how unprofessional can you be.

RESPONDING TO THE OWNERS RESPONSE: I did not order online, I was there in person and did dine in. No one said anything about switching it out & I DID NOT say I'd be okay with eating the raw fish. I didn't order more cooked rolls & They did NOT offer me a refund and only made the rude comment about how I shouldn't be eating there Honestly I'd give this place more stars but their customer service SUCKS SO BAD! They used to be great but it's going downhill. So I'm pregnant and ordered a shrimp tempura because I know there isn't any raw fish in there. When we received our order they substitute the crab meat with tuna because they ran out. They didn't even have the courtesy to even tell us they're switching it out. We told them how it would've been nice for them to let us know beforehand & one of the workers responded with 'well she shouldn't be eat here if she's pregnant' like really?! First off, it don't matter if I'm pregnant or not, you ALWAYS tell your customer if you're switching something out Incase they're allergic. Not even a simple sorry. Welp, guess they won't be receiving our service anymore pregnant or not.

Just to start it off, the sign for this restaurant still says yeti bento so I'm not sure if they changed owners and didn't change the sign or what the deal was, but we had a hard time finding the place. Just know you aren't gonna see the name Musashi Cafe on a big sign when you drive by. When we came in, we weren't greeted so we just looked at their menu boards for awhile. Once we were finally ready to make an order the cashier said their chef is on a break so we could only order fresh rolls. It was around 5:30 on a Friday...so I would think this would be a busy time for the cafe but maybe not. We asked when the chef would be back and he said 30-45 minutes...so we just decided to get sushi and then if we took long enough, we could order other kitchen items. I ordered a giant dragon and bake me roll while my friend opted for the d+d roll. She wanted to order salmon nigiri too but he said they were out of everything with salmon. We got our food in brown paper boxes for dining in. Nothing to put you our soy sauce to dip our rolls in so my friend asked for a side dish and he gave us a small paper plate. We didn't get a napkin with our order nor was there any paper towels on the table so that was inconvenient. No cups are provided where they have glass bottles of water to pour. I guess when people say this place is no frills, they really aren't kidding. All their drink options were zero sugar sodas because it looked like all other options were sold out. I guess this place might be good to visit on like a Wednesday early lunch time cause there just wasn't many options and the cashier wasn't all that friendly. The rolls themselves weren't bad (the shrimp tempura was kinda hard though. Probably was fried before the chef went on break so it was not likely to be fresh) but nothing too noteworthy. The prices were good for it being in Bellevue and for the cost of food going up in general. I would consider stopping by again in the future, but only if I was on the go and not expecting much. Oh and also, we left about 45 minutes later and heard the cashier say to another guest that the chef was on a break....so I'm not sure if they're short staffed but it was disappointing to not be able to order any hot foods with such a limited menu (since everything with salmon was also out).

Went to try this place based on overwhelmingly positive reviews. They were out of some menu items (hamachi kama) so I ordered an Alaska roll. Although the place was empty the young server seemed out of it and didn't attend to me properly. She'd just get behind the counter and wait after i asked her for water. I had to ask for napkins and after a while she brougt a torn piece of commercial paper towel etc. Maybe she wasn't trained at all on customer service. According to their menu description, the Alaska roll I ordered is supposed to have hamachi, scallops and tobiko among other things. When the order came in a sorry Styrofoam box the sushi rice was dry and mediocre. I then noticed it had none of the three things I noted that were advertised in the menu. Instead it had tiny little pieces of salmon on top (instead of hamachi) and the scallops and tobiko topping were lacking entirely. When I complained to the server she was disinterested and said she is just a server, that the cook controls the items. I asked her to go ask the cook what gives. She disappeared and came back saying she can give me something else instead but no explanation as to why I was served something competely different than what the menu described and claiming that there are little pieces of scallops in there (there weren't) . I said never mind finished my non-Alaska roll and left, never to return again. Bonus: As I was reflecting on my experience I suddenly remembered an important detail. When ordering, I asked if they had chirachi bowl. The server said no but "they have it in their Factoria location". Now, the Musashi in Factoria is an amazing, no frills, hole in the wall place with excellent offerings for their price and I go there regularly. I have a very hard time believing that the Factoria Musashi is another location for this Musashi Cafe which doesn't even come close. I suspect they may be trying to capitalize on Factoria Musashi's good name. Don't assume they're the same.

I was not impressed with this place at all. 100% no frills, nothing special establishment. For $35 I purchased 1 roll, 1 miso, and 1 beef bulgogi bento. Bulgogi dry and lacked flavor. Sushi roll mostly filled with imitation crab and they didn't even provide me with any soy sauce. Wasabi provided was too small. Miso was bland and plain with zero tofu. The only thing inside was green onion. This was a major let down for me. Sure if your starving why not, but if you want something delicious, do not go here. Waste of money. I won't be back.

Solid takeout spot for sushi/bento boxes. I almost drove past this place because the sign said Yeti Bento and not Murashi. Parking: Parked on the street a block away, no charge. Food ordered (only takeout boxes available): - Premium Galbi bento (4/5): loved the short ribs, but the sides were cold and def not made to order - Skyler roll (5/5): good portion, hits the spot Prices were really reasonable, so I would return again.

I live next to this cafe but it's really no frills. The spicy seared salmon sushi is good, and I had a few rolls. The bento boxes weren't that great and way overpriced at $18 in my opinion. I've had better bento lunches for $12 that came with much better sides. The staff is ok here. The first time I went in to check it out, the girl working wasn't that friendly so I walked out without ordering and got something else. I gave this place a few tries after and the food was good but nothing to scream 5 stars about.. it was just ok.

Great prices and great sushi! We loved the Skylar and the Bake me rolls. Bake Me RollSkyler Roll

Terrible. Food is inedible, especially the meat. Sides are okay, tempura onion was absolutely horrendous. As for the sushi, it was average but subpar for the price. Overall, I am disappointed and feel robbed.
