I had a reservation at 11:00, but when I arrived the doors were still locked. At 11:07 the staff were clearly inside just chatting, completely ignoring customers waiting outside. Their posted hours say they open at 11, yet even after standing there for 15 minutes they never bothered to unlock the doors. This is not only unprofessional but shows zero respect for customers’ time. What’s the point of taking reservations if you don’t honor them? Extremely disappointing experience. I will never be coming back!

Quiet lunch time visit with my family. Kids had never been to Korean bbq before. They went nuts. It was fantastic.

this place is amazing! my sister and i went here to eat and it was only my second time and her first time trying korean barbeque and the waitress was super accommodating and fast with her service and helped us with the process and made us feel so welcome. the quality of the meats and marination on them are fantastic and i had a great time eating the foods and side dishes. of course the meat is satiating so make sure you don’t get overwhelmed and try to eat too much meat because you’ll get fuller than expected. I met the manager Jong as we left and she said bye to us in such a sweet and respectful manner. best restaurant and service ever.🩷

My family and I are frequent KBBQ eaters, we’re regulars at our local Korean spots and have gotten quite familiar with what would be considered “good”, “excellent”, and “average”.

Unfortunately for palace Bellevue , it fits none of the categories stated above.

For the $$$ the food wasn’t good at all, and the service was slow and unpleasant.
The lunch menu only has a couple options for meat eaters who don’t prefer pork, practically all options for lunch are pork.(ofc not a problem at all, but online the restaurant portrays to carry multiple cuts of a variety; hence it could be misleading). If you’re charging a decent amount the least you can do is offer inclusive options for different eaters.
The sides were stale, flavorless, and lacking authenticity.
On top of everything, the server charged us for a child $$ only because she was present on the table. I’ve never been to a place that doesnt clearly state their requirements of charging per head for simply being present; and if so, it doesn’t occur without notice.
After we spoke to our server about why there was a charge for the child that didnt partake in eating, they had the audacity to point out that the total doesnt include tip. (Meaning they wanted us to leave a tip). Our family is in the restaurant industry and treat our servers WELL, it’s a value we all carry. We left slightly above average (15%) but wish they could have actually done their job right and showcased some sort of hospitality, the lack there of was the reason we didn’t want to do more.
:(

I feel sad writing this because this place has promise, I hope they read this review and embrace change! Best of luck.

The experience was overall great! Definitely worth the price for the quality of the meat. The only thing I would say is it is all you can need so when my teenage boys order a lot meat don't give us attitude!

The waitress is not patient and not understandable at all.

We ordered two portions of three meats. She reminded us that we have to pay additional charge if we have leftover, which is understandable. Unexpectedly, she served the seasoned meat in super big portion and not our favor. She also rushed us to grill all the big portion at a time. Additionally, she served rice for each person without asking, even though it wasn’t expected or clearly stated as mandatory.

Overall, the experience made us uncomfortable and under pressure. We couldn’t enjoy the food properly as everything hurried. I will not recommend this restaurant.

I can say food is good, however service is horrible. So because of bad service I only tip 5% so they started making complaining sounds. Tip nowadays is given even for bad service but I think it should be earned.

Been going to this place for years. The meat is good quality and its conveniently located near Crossroads Mall in Bellevue.

I understand the need for increasing prices due to inflated food costs, but this past time I went it seemed pretty expensive. AYCE for an adult costs $43.95 during dinner. The part that was really crazy was that kids are only 4-7yrs old. No way can a kid who is even 12 eat as much as an adult. Seems unfair to charge a 9yr old $43.95.

Staff was very kind and attentive. A bit pricey for the quality of meats. We got marinated chicken and marinated pork and they both tasted off so we couldn't finish it. I recommend sticking with the fresh/frozen selection. Ban Chan was tasty

Not worth the money. Plus I had to pay the $45 adult price for my 8 year old who barely eats anything but the age cut off is 7 and under for the kids pricing. That was shocking to see.

2 of us on Sunday night at 6:15 and we were seated immediately.

The staff was attentive and switched out the grills frequently. We were allowed to pick 4 items at a time. We did request smaller portions so we could taste more items.

The squid, marinated pork belly, beef tongue and the spicy pork were the best dishes IMO. All I ribs were decent but a little light on the seasoning. The steak was a full steak but I prefer my steak with some kosher salt for seasoning so wasn’t the best for me. The shrimp too was too plain for my taste as well. We added a steamed egg on the side which we probably could have done without. The banchan was good but we mostly stuck to the fish cake.

The probiotic drink at the end was an unexpected treat.

Excellent food quality. It seems a little expensive at first, once you begin to eat and keep getting cut after cut of meat it suddenly seems more affordable. Generously poured beverages as well.

Always friendly staff, they quickly ask if you want more food as soon as you finish.

The lighting is a little too dim for my liking, and the cushioned benches have seen better days, worn out and lumpy at times.

4 out 5 stars.

Highly recommended, the seaweed rice rolls are delicious, parking is easy, the pork belly is tender, and their side dishes are my favorite
