Excellent dinner and service! The staff was friendly and attentive and the seafood was delicious! The rewards program was a delightful surprise to an already wonderful evening. This was my second time there and I plan on returning.

Seastar is one of our favorite places - for both food and service. Last night we had exceptional service from Chapel in the bar and then our server Pedro in the restaurant. John Howie does everything right! 👍

Our out of town family appreciated the food and the window seat. One of our favorite restaurants.

Took “out of town” friends. Food was delicious, as usual. Very much enjoyed. Always consistent quality and service.

A classic spot but overpriced and noticeably tired in 2025. Also waited 30 minutes to be seated (with a reservation) - excuse was “we're fully booked tonight.”

Rene

Exceptional service and a fantastic dinner. Great variety and prepared wonderfully. Enjoy!!!

Happy Hour visit for a big anniversary in the bar. It definitely had a crowd that skews two directions: 1. Afterwork meet ups 2. The retired set. So it was less cozy/romantic than the dining room portends, but we were definitely there early enough to get the freshly out of work and off the links crowd. Cocktails (needed to order a second Pegu Club) were great. Ahi tiradito was so delicious/dope. Oysters were fresh and light. Delish gougere in the bread service.

Happy Hour knocks 4-6 dollars off every plate and 3-4 off each drink.

They have gift certificates for the founder's restaurant group at Costco, so that's an option, but I do think taking it 10-30% easier on the brand tie ins and the guys name would make me more excited about returning. I get being proud of your work, but the emphasis on one dude when there's a huge team of amazing people making the spirits and food, feels passé and frankly gauche.

Excellent food and service. The menu was a really nice blend of main courses that included Land and Sea as well as appetizers and small plates including Sushi and nigiri, that made for a nice choice without being overwhelming. Quality of the food was excellent with just the right portion size. Unlike mini restaurants where the main protein changes but besides stay the same this excellent restaurant had different combinations for almost every meal which made an impact on which main course to choose. It was a very nice touch

Would recommend for dinner service but not so much for happy hour. You can eat better at home for less.

Burger with fries was good. Tiraditos sauce would have been better as a ponzu sauce or something more acidic instead of creamy, which was odd. The rice for the crunchy/crispy sushi tasted stale and was difficult to chew. The deviled eggs, while pretty in appearance, were rather bland, soft, and overpowered by a dill flavor. Happy hour may be ok if you’re one of the local workers since the service is good and the place clean - but not if you’re driving in from anywhere for food. Dinner service is better and I would still recommend that. 20% gratuity is automatically included. Garage parking validation also included.

All in all, my partner and I spent around $120 for the food, one alcoholic beverage, one soft drink, with tax/gratuity included.

Sea Star in Bellevue is a true gem! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a modern yet relaxed feel that makes it perfect for both a casual evening out or a special occasion. The staff is consistently attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, which really enhances the whole dining experience.

The menu is outstanding—fresh, high-quality ingredients prepared with creativity and care. The seafood is always impeccably fresh, and the dishes are beautifully presented. Favorites like their perfectly grilled fish and inventive appetizers showcase just how much thought goes into every plate. The wine list and cocktail selection are also top-notch, with excellent pairings available for every dish.

What really stands out about Sea Star is the consistency—you can count on an excellent meal and great service every time. It’s clear that the team here takes pride in what they do, and it shows in every detail.

If you’re in Bellevue and looking for an upscale seafood experience that never disappoints, Sea Star should be at the top of your list.

The nectarine and heirloom salad was scrumptious. I had the mahi mahi and it was a taste delight in every bite. Order it if you get the chance. My husband enjoyed his sole. Atmosphere was great. Great service.

The food was honestly very good, but the bill completely ruined the experience. Everything we ordered had the price listed on the menu except for one margarita. When the check came, they charged $17 for ‘Casamigos Blanco’ plus another $4 ‘as around 6-8 oz margarita’ – $21 for a single small drink! On top of that, they automatically added a 20% gratuity and still left a line asking for more tip.

I’ve worked in the industry, so I know how things work. When they see you’re not local, some places will try to take advantage. Not everyone does it, but sadly this one did. You might think I’m complaining over $21, but it’s not the money – it’s the principle. Don’t treat customers like they’re stupid.

We usually come to this area often, but when you see a place trying to rip you off like that, you just don’t go back. They might have made a quick win today, but they’ll lose much more in the future.
