This was my first time trying AYCE hotpot although I have tried Korean BBQ AYCE before.Me and my friend went to this restaurant for saturday lunch. It was pretty easy to get a seat. There were plenty of options in the AYCE menu. We chose Fatty Beef, Fatty Lamb, Pork Belly, Chicken, Squid, Shrimp, Sole Fillet, Quail eggs and multiple other things. For broth we chose Vegetable Mushroom and Chicken broth. They had a section for sauces as well.Although there were plenty of options in the food and service was good, nothing felt exceptional in taste. The meat felt bland even though we tried with different sauces. Although it might be us due to less experience with hotpot, but probably won't be coming back here.
If you’re into individual broths and all you can eat, this is the place. Quaint and clean place. Broths are all refillable and there’s a nice self serve sauce bar. Very generous meat servings and endless vegetables to choose from, which are very fresh. The quality here is good. Only downside is that sometimes the broth isn’t too flavorful, but sauces make up for it. Still worth the trip.
Delicious hot pot. A variety of broths to try- spicy very spicy, vegetarian and chicken broth.Everything was fresh, staff attentive to our large group - filling out broth bowls and water glasses. I highly recommend!.
The waiters weren’t around literally ever. I asked them for water and they said ok, walk away and didn’t come back making me ask a second time. And don’t even get me started in the dunk-load of oil they put in their soup base. My stomach hurt the morning after I ate, causing me to throw up. Horrible experience.
I ate so much food here. I just kept eating and eating and eating. I thought I would die, so I ate some more. I ate so much I waddled out of the restaurant. I was so full, I worried that if I braked too hard on the drive home, I would vomit. The food was okay, nothing special. The main draw of Huo Yan Hot Pot is the sheer amount of food you can get under "all you can eat."
Beautiful decor, great quality food, the soups and sauces are all very thoughtfully balanced out. Still some grease but not nearly as much as other places I've reviewed in the past. Our server did his best to tend to the needs of every table despite being the only one there. Very polite and respectful. We will absolutely be back!
Having never tried a hot pot restaurant, we had no idea how the process worked. The server offered no help and was really not interested in assisting us. We watched what a few other tables were doing and tried to follow their lead. We were not happy with the results. The noodles ended up mushy and it was a mess to eat. You really need to review some online videos of this sort of dining, or go with someone who has experience. The food ingredients were good and the restaurant was nicely decorated. Had the server offered some help to us, I would have rated it higher.
First time trying out this restaurant. Friendly staff. Food was only OK, the szechuan spicy soup base was a bit bland. Pay attention to the menu. Though it's all-you-can-eat. Some menu items charges extra, e.g. the soup. Dinner for two came out to be about $90. You can find better hotpot options in Bellevue.
Food quality is good and tasty broth and dipping sauce. Service is good. The server is friendly. The eat all you can menu have a lot of good ingredients to make your own flavor of hotpot dish. Come and try it!
If you are looking for individual or family style hot pot then you should put Huo Yan Hot Pot on your list! They offer individual hot pot combos, family style hot pot combo, and family style all-you-can-eat hot pot. Combos are essentially you pick your soup base, meats, non-meats, and sauce. The mushroom soup base has a definite mushroom taste. Likewise for the chicken and hot chili bases. The soup and food come separately (other hot pot places will have the food already in the pot when it reaches your table). Their selection of meats, vegetables, soups, and others aren't exceptional but they aren't bad at all either. Definitely worth checking out. They are also fairly priced! Ample parking all around.

Hmm. Came with friend to check out 20% off. Turns out only 20% off for additional menu of $17, not on base of $30.99 menu. So after tax was $55 but I didn’t eat much.I didn’t like the soup base.Others are good. Duck blood is good.
First time having Hot Pot and OH MY GOD. It was fantastic! None of the food was very heavy, so we didn't have to rent a forklift to get us out of there...haha.
A great experience! Hot Pot has never let me down so far in the 11 years I've been eating it. This restaurant upholds that ideal. The price is about $31/person and is all-you-can-eat. The vegetables and broth were perfect along with the large trays of sliced meats. I'm used to a larger variety of meats being available but they are very good with quickly getting you a fresh full tray of meat. Usually getting a new tray takes longer and you pay per tray and type of meat, so you end up paying a LOT more per person, so this restaurant is a great bargain. I'll be back here again.
Absolutely amazing place to eat if you come without kids. The servers seem to not be a fan of family outing and I am pretty sure they charged one of our young ones as an adult. I am not positive on this because the waiter did not give us the receipt and I was just over the attitude so I paid up and left.So if your on a date or single with no kids and out with friends this is the place for you but i'd stay clear if your a family with young kids.
I went on a quiet Monday during lunch. I did not get the all you can eat, and I was still full by the end. I thought the restaurant offered a good value. The only thing that stood out as a complaint was that the server was dressed in a baggy sweatshirt and baggy jeans, which was not professional and did not fit with the atmosphere of the restaurant. It was a little confusing to learn that he was the server.
