Our family love this restaurant in BC, so glad they are finally have one here, I love their variety of seafood choice and different way of preparing them that like no others restaurants have it here. They have crab promotion the night we visited so we tried the lotus leaf/sticky rice steam crab, everyone loves it so much. We also tried their steam abalone with XO sauce it was delicious. We finished it so quickly and forgot to take picture of the abalone. Other foods here are great too. Great service since it was a week night and about 60% full. They have promotion from Monday to Thursday dinner on special item, we probably will come again to try out on different night. All their servers are great, especially Tony, he was so patient answered all our questions and attending to all our needs; it makes our dinning experience much more enjoyable!

We came here for carry out dimsum, we ordered our food before their busy time and after half an hour our food was still not ready. We ask 2 different staffers and they just looked at us and walked away without checking the kitchen. I know Chinese waitresses are well know to be terrible, these lived up to their reputation ??

After 35 minutes someone finally brought us the food. The food was good enough but their service was awful. Come here only if you must have dimsum and time to kill.

蜂巢竽角 was served cold inside. They did make it right by giving us a new one that’s thoroughly heated this time. However, we tried about 8 dishes but their taste were all bad. Either not seasoned right, or has unfresh taste. Very disappointed. It’s as bad as top gun if you know how bad top gun is.

All the servers seem to have no peripheral vision at all. We’d wave and wave and they’d just pass us by.

My husband decided to finally try this place on a Sunday, so I joined their yelp wait-list at 11:08 am and the wait is like an hour. However, it was down to 30 minutes when we arrived at Asian food center,, so we decided to do some grocery shopping in the meantime. Our table was ready at 11:34am, but we were still shopping for groceries. I noticed they called us after we paid, so we went to restaurant right away and saw at least 25 people waiting in the lobby. We got the small table at the corner of the restaurant, and we took a while to decide what to order.

The menu seems pretty normal and comparable to the 20+ dim sum places that I have been to. Most of them are in Vancouver, bc and some in hong kong, or Taiwan. I have a love-hate relationship with dim sum because it's usually more fun when you go with a huge group (so you can just get a bite of everything), but it could be boring if you go with your relatives. On top of that, dim sum usually takes a long time since people like to enjoy their tea slowly, and you can refill the tea. This place is well-known in Vancouver, but it's not very good by any means as the competition there is fierce. I've seen so many reviews on its pricing and that was on my radar.

Here are the list of things we ordered:
2 - steamed pork and shrimp siu mai 北菇切肉燒賣 $8.95
32 - steamed rice with chicken feet and spareribs 鳳爪排骨飯 $13.95
34 - pan fried eggplant stuff with shrimp paste 百花天婦羅茄子 $8.95
64- deep fried squid with spicy salt (basically salt and pepper squid). $16.95

#2 is quite standard and comparable to what we had in other places. Italso comes with 4 pieces, which is also standard. The size wasn't the largest I've seen. Hence it's a safe choice.

#32 is amazing. I love their sauce and the rice was super flavorful. I also avoid ordering chicken feet because I will have to eat all of it since my husband doesn't. Then I'd be full and can't eat anything else, so getting two chicken feet here was great. Plus the rice gets crispy too if you let it sit longer. Highly recommend!

#34 was fine, but the portion was disappointing. 6 pieces for $8.95 seems crazy. I'd avoid this and anything between #34-37 since they are all easy to make with small portions..

#64 was also a disappointing dish. The squid and spices were separated and not well seasoned. It's like they put two strangers on the same seat... This is the worst thing that can happen to salt and pepper anything... The squid (or tofu) tastes bland without the tiny pieces of green pepper.. id avoid this as well.

They have 4 individual bathrooms, two for male and two for female. They also have two sinks outside for people to wash their hands without using the toilets.

They charge $2/person for tea, so the bill wasn't pretty. As far as I remember, they only have 3 kinds of tea to choose from too (Jasmine, pu'er, and another one I forgot). The service was alright, but if you are hoping to see the pushing carts, you'd be disappointed. I doubt we will come back again unless our friends want to try this place. Their price is similar to Vancouver price, but it will be in Canadian instead of USD. Typical Bellevue price I guess. I'd still prefer triumph valley down in Renton.

Very authentic Chinese food. We had the live king crab and it was EXCELLENT!! They cook the crab three ways and each dish was cooked well and tasted great.
We had a private dining room on the second floor that seats 8-9 people. It’s nothing like private rooms at restaurants in China, but it serves the purpose for a big family gathering.

Decent food, fast service, and a very nice venue but the prices are just too steep for what it is

Came here on a Sunday morning and the wait was approximately 90 minutes. Now I see why it was a relatively short wait. I’ve been here when they recently opened and it was really good but this time the standard dropped over the course of 4 months. The rice rolls were super thick, the stomach was chewy and not soft, the egg yolk bun was curdled and not runny like it should be, and our tea (pu’er) was not fresh. It was such a disappointment that I don’t want to come back

Delicious dinner. We really enjoyed our food tonight. We ordered the lobster dinner which includes a lobster dish plush 3 dishes of your choice and a soup. Lobsters was make 避風塘, HongKong style, very flavorful, I can tell it’s not from frozen. We chose sweet and sour pork (it was so addicting!), eggplant and diced beef in black pepper sauce, and mix seafood (with squid, shrimp, fish and giant scallops). Staff was very friendly and attentive, on top of changing out plates when they see lobster shell on them. Will bring family and friends back to try out more dishes. Good job! : )

The food was excellent. Looking forward to more visits to try other dishes on their extensive menu. It's hard to understand their average rating of 3.5 which is similar to that of a Taco Bell. I wonder if competing restaurants are rating them low.

We ordered 10 dishes totally cost $502 good for 10 people (18% gratuity required). Most of them were authentic Cantonese flavors and delicious except Braised Beef Brisket Radish Hot Pot wasn’t flavorful; and the roasted Peking duck was more like Cantonese style BBQ duck.
All seafood dishes with fixed prices were in very small portions. E.g BC osmanthus mussels $28. The Alaska king crab was $68.8/lb, the crab set dishes have been raised to $198 as of Oct 2024.
The interior decoration looks upscale combined with modern and oriental themes. However it was super noisy and we couldn't hear each other.
The booking for big table was easy. The dishes were served very quickly. The service was okay and tea refill was slow! Good experience overall but it is very pricey!

We visited this busy restaurant on a Saturday afternoon and while some dishes like the shumai, shrimp and chive dishes, egg custard and porridge were decent, the meal felt chaotic with long wait times, noisy surroundings, and food arriving sporadically. I'm not sure if it was worth it. Unfortunately, our family also experienced upset stomachs afterward.

Having tried pretty much every dim sum place in the Seattle metro over the past 20 years, this is our new favorite! Wonderful quality and textures in every dish we ordered. Worth the wait!

The pleasant atmosphere was also a welcome change from the apocalyptic landscape of Seattle these days.
