Get the cod. Best dish there. Miso soup was good. Good service as well. Unfortunately besides that we did not like anything else much - Agedashi Tofu, Seasonal Tempura, hand roll, All were disappointing. Not your typical sushi place and menu choices were very limited on top of that. Pretty expensive and posh place but the food in comparison to that was quite pale. $300 price tag only to go find another spot to fill stomach properly 😢

Fantastic dining room experience. We got the omakase and were completely satisfied with the outstanding service and it always felt like more courses were coming out! Each piece of fish was fantastic and gave a range of flavors and textures with some melting in your mouth and others having a burst of flavor from being seared

The room is pretty cold, we have to leave our coat on all the time, the food is OK, not WOW, keep your expectation low, then you are fine. The services are pretty good.

We did the omakase and it exceeded our expectations! 10 courses, plenty of food. I was so full but had to try everything.

I've had an excellent experience at the downtown Sushi Kashiba, so I was very surprised by how disappointing the Bellevue location was. The menu felt extremely limited, especially for someone who doesn't regularly eat sushi. My boyfriend was only able to choose two dishes, whereas other places offer a much wider variety of warm, non-sushi options. My Omakase was also underwhelming. Compared to other Omakase experiences I've had, there were no exciting seasonal ingredients, and none of the dishes stood out or delivered that “wow” factor. Overall, the meal felt flat and uninspired. I wouldn't recommend this location for anyone who has experienced higher-quality Omakase or is looking for a fun, memorable sushi dining experience.

The omakase here is the best I've had in Seattle out of 3 omakase places that I've tried. The chef really put a lot of thought in giving us a unique experience where we tried 18 different types of fish/seafood. Presentation was always on point as well. Very impressed.

My wife and I went here as a date using the CSR credit. We wouldn't have gone here otherwise, however we both like Japanese food; she prefers sushi, and I prefer various cooked items. The plan was simple, I would enjoy some drinks and appetizers while she ate sushi, however we both struggled to find something appetizing from their menu which was not available ahead of time, and omited significant ingredients (e.g. I was surprised to find crab in my Miso soup - I didn't mind it, but it wasn't on the menu). We just got back from Japan last month where we really enjoyed how good and cheap the food was. This place feels fancy and looks nice with candles but isn't really romantic as the sounds echo off the walls. The waitress was amazingly attentive, so much so that we felt rushed to order drinks, rushed to order food, and I felt rushed to eat, but my wife did not. Most surprisingly we did not feel rushed to leave after paying. Notably, my water glass was never empty. Overall, we had a nice evening, but we won't be going here again (even though it was zero cost for us).

It's simply an incomparable dining experience to be served the highest grade sushi by a master chef. Upgrade to the chef's counter to fully appreciate it.

Amazing counter omakase. Best we've had in the puget sound area. The presentation of every dish was impeccable, with the finest attention to detail paid. The quality of the service was exceptional.

The food is just average. The geoduck didn't taste fresh. The tempura wasn't cooked all the way. We tasted uncooked panko. The sushi rice has too much vinegar flavor. Overpowering the fish taste. The sever has not check with us once on how the food tasted. We are pretty disappointed. We are expecting more on this price point.

Delicious omakase experience. The service and food were excellent. Expensive but worth it.

The waiter is very arrogant when I suggest the miso soup is a bit salty. The food was Ok, high end sushi for sure, but very overpriced

Christopher

Amazing sashimi, as expected. Very attentive service, we felt well taken care of. excellent tempura. Tea pairing was a nice experience with eclectic taste, but price point felt way too steep and kinda regret it. The booth seating is objectively uncomfortable.

Our family went for my youngest 21st birthday. The service and meal were exceptional. I would definitely eat at Takai again.

Cody

Amazing experience. The service from start to finish was amazing. The fish and dishes that the chef prepared were 10/10. Would and will come back again!
