You’re charging extra for eggs in the breakfast burrito now??? EGGS??? It’s a breakfast burrito!!! Insulting.
Love the food, service, and atmosphere at Banter, but I just discovered that eggs are an optional add-on in the breakfast burrito? Its a breakfast burrito! I'd be fine if the avocado was an additional charge like so many other places, but the eggs?

A long time favorite brunch spot. The coffee is great, their breakfast burrito is the best in town and their space is absolutely gorgeous with tons of natural light. Staff is friendly and space is cozy! We frequent this place.

Great spot, one of the few places in this town that you can get a vegan brunch. Had the burrito vegan and the sesame miso bowl, which were both great. Tater tots were solid too. Kind of wished I went for the smoothie instead of the latte but that was ok too. Place isn’t really cheap and I was a little confused on tipping etiquette since you pay first and they don’t really wait on you at the tables.

We went with a party of 4. The place was quite busy, so had to wait about 20 minutes for the table so either reserve in advance or be prepared to wait. The service was really quick and our server was also amazing. The menu has good vegan options. We ordered the Avocado smash and coconut peanut bowl. Both the dishes were amazing. The tea and spiced chai latte were also pretty good. We asked for a little customisation and the server got it done for the chai.
All in all very good experience

What a great spot! The breakfast burrito was big enough that I could have split it with someone and been good. The avo smash was incredible, especially with the addition of thicc cut bacon. Great service, nice interior, good food, reasonable prices. New favorite restaurant in Bellingham.

Food was great. If getting take out definitely order ahead. And if you are dining in expect to wait for awhile for a table. There is no space to wait for your food if you order to go without feeling like your in the way unless you go outside into the weather. And even if some tables open up you will be asked to not sit while you wait, even if there is no line at the counter. We ordered 2 burritos, a smoothie, and oatmilk latte and waited for 45 minutes. When we recieved the smoothie we asked about the latte and were told it was next on the list, we watched 4 drinks be made without receiving it. When we asked about it again the cashier said he didn't ring it in and would have the barista make us one free of charge. I saw him ring it in and saw the charge on the receipt when I paid (total was 49 dollars and change before i tipped), not really a big deal but made me feel like we were bothering him. After standing for 30 minutes a few of the tables opened up and there was finally a lull in the line and we took the opportunity to sit since they didn't have any customers waiting for a table. At which point the cashier came and asked if we had changed our order to dine in, to which we said no but we were still waiting for our food, it was at this point that he said that we couldn't sit that the tables were only for dine in customers and he needed us to get up. By the time we got our food no one had been seated at the table. I realize that they have limited seating for as busy as they are and would have gladly gotten up if they needed the table if asked, but to have to get up and then no one be seated while I waited is just poor customer service.

Fun place , great food, unique flavors and offerings ! Only thing I was a bit turned off by is that they didn’t accept cash! Very strange to me. Otherwise, nice place, cool coffee decorating and the bacon was really good!

All around fantastic brunch spot! It’s such a cute place with great service and the food is phenomenal. This might be the best breakfast burrito in the state, honestly.

Good food and coffee. Good and friendly service. Food was extremely slow - ~40 minutes when given an estimate of 15-20 (already too long for a breakfast place)

Let’s talk about seating.
When I think of my favorite breakfast, brunch, & late late lunch cafés, a few things come to mind — they’re places for meaningful conversations, for watching the room breathe, for ideas to arrive unannounced, the kind where you don’t notice until the last coffee grounds are staring back at you from the bottom of your cup. If you were lucky enough to find an open table, you settled in with quiet gratitude, certain the day had already gone your way.
Banter, instead, seems to have embraced the modern method of ‘the ol in n out’ the customer.
The food is spectacular. The drinks are particular. And the beautiful space, a canvas waiting to discover its own sense of ease.
Best breakfast burrito ever created?

Atmosphere was cool and the staff were kind! Grabbed to-go breakfast burritos this morning…our first time at Banter, and we will probably never return. We paid $30 for two hulking burritos - each containing 70% rice smooshed with avocado, 20% creamy chipotle sauce, 10% everything else. Unfortunately, I couldn’t describe it any other way than disgusting imo. I honestly threw away most of it. Disappointed
